COUNSELORS, WHEN THEY'RE MEETING WITH SOMEONE TO ADD IN CLASSES THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED FOR THEIR UNIVERSITY TRANSFERS AS WELL, SO THAT EVERYTHING CAN BECOME MUCH MORE STREAMLINED

[2.02 Institutional Presentation: Data Snippet from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, Planning, and Grants]

[00:15:54]

THAN IT HAS BEEN UP TILL NOW.

[00:16:01]

I DID HAVE A QUESTION ALSO ON THIS GRAPH.

[00:16:04]

WHAT HAPPENED IN 2021 THAT OUR NUMBERS ARE HIGHER THAN THE FOLLOWING AND THEN CURRENT, I GUESS IN NOT IN ALL, BUT IN SOME.

RIGHT. THIS SLIDE I HAVEN'T PRESENTED ON YET.

OH I'M SORRY. NO IT'S OKAY.

THE PREVIOUS SLIDE I WAS TRYING TO TOGGLE BACK WHEN ROBYN WAS TALKING.

WE'RE ACTUALLY A HIGHER PERCENT, BUT I WANT TO NOTE IT'S OUT OF THE COHORT, SO THE SAMPLE SIZES ARE UP AT THE TOP.

SO WE FALL 21.

WE ACTUALLY HAD A SMALLER FIRST TIME FALL START COHORT COMPARED TO FALL 23.

AND SO IT'S ACTUALLY A GREATER NUMBER OF STUDENTS AS WELL.

SO IF WE LOOK AT THE NEXT SLIDE I'M TRYING TO CLICK.

THERE WE GO. SO THIS IS LOOKING AT EARLY COURSE SUCCESS.

SO THIS IS SPECIFICALLY FOCUSING ON ATTEMPTING TRANSFER LEVEL MATH AND ENGLISH.

AND SO IT'S BROKEN UP JUST BY ENGLISH THEN JUST BY MATH.

AND THEN LOOKING AT BOTH.

SO FOR THE FALL 23 COHORT YOU SEE THE DIP IN THE 67%.

BUT IT'S ACTUALLY A GREATER NUMBER OF STUDENTS THAT WERE GETTING TO ATTEMPT TRANSFER LEVEL ENGLISH.

SO I JUST WANT TO PUT IT IN CONTEXT IN RELATION TO THE ACTUAL COHORT ITSELF.

WITH REGARDS TO MATH, THE THIRD BAR CHART, WE ACTUALLY ARE AT 50% OF STUDENTS ATTEMPTING TRANSFER LEVEL MATH, AND THAT'S THE HIGHEST WE'VE BEEN SINCE WE'VE HAD AB705.

AND SO BUT THE COMPLETION, YOU CAN SEE 18% OF THE COHORT COMPLETED.

AND THEN THAT ESSENTIALLY IS REFLECTED IN THE OVERALL COMPLETION OF TRANSFER LEVEL MATH AND ENGLISH.

THE LAST TWO BAR CHARTS ON THE RIGHT.

YEP. THANK YOU.

FIRST OF ALL, JUST TO ALSO ECHO WHAT TRUSTEE GREENE MENTIONED ABOUT THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, THAT'S A WONDERFUL ACCOMPLISHMENT.

I KNOW WHEN I STARTED ON THIS BOARD ALMOST 12 YEARS AGO, THAT WAS NOT SOMETHING THAT OUR THAT WAS EMBRACED.

AND I'M JUST REALLY WANT TO THANK OUR COUNCILORS, BECAUSE I KNOW THAT REALLY TOOK A LOT OF CHANGE.

AND THINKING ABOUT HOW, YOU KNOW, WE SERVE OUR STUDENTS.

SO I JUST REALLY WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE COUNSELING TEAM FOR ALL THEIR WORK ON THAT.

SO GREAT JOB.

I GUESS MY CONCERN IS WHILE THE ATTEMPT RATES ARE SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER, THE COMPLETION RATES ARE NOT THERE YET.

SO WHAT CAN WE DO TO RAISE THOSE COMPLETION LEVEL RATES IN BOTH ENGLISH AND MATH? BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT QUITE THERE YET.

YEAH. SO THANK YOU FOR FOR THAT.

AND I THINK WE WERE GOING TO HAVE CONVERSATION THERE.

SO REMEMBER WELL, LET ME LET ME CONTEXTUALIZE THIS.

REMEMBER THAT WE'RE TRYING TO SET THE SYSTEMS AND PARAMETERS THIS YEAR BECAUSE THE ACTUAL METRICS, THE COUNTING BEGINS FALL 2024.

BUT THIS YEAR WE STARTED COUNTING AND WE STARTED COUNTING BECAUSE WE WANT TO MAKE SURE ONE WE CAN COUNT.

WE COULD COUNT, TWO, WE COULD RETRIEVE THE DATA.

THREE WE CAN WE COULD TRACK THE STUDENTS.

AND WILL THOSE THINGS SEEM SIMPLE? AS WE BEGAN THIS PROCESS, WE REALIZED THAT WE LACKED A NUMBER OF SYSTEMS TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS EFFECTIVELY.

AS ROBIN WAS MENTIONED, SOME OF THE NEW TECHNOLOGY TOOLS THAT THEY WOULD IMPLEMENT IN THIS AS A RESULT OF TRACKING THIS.

NOW TO TO YOUR QUESTION, WHAT WE'RE TRYING TO DO HERE IS SET THE BASELINE OF WHERE WE SHOULD BE LOOKING INTO THE METRICS THAT WE SHOULD BE COLLECTING.

AND ONLY BY COLLECTING THESE ONE SEMESTER, WE'RE STARTING TO SEE AGAIN WHAT YOU JUST NOTICED THAT WE WILL NOW BE ABLE TO GRADUATE MORE THAN 18% OF OUR STUDENTS, AT BEST, ON TIME.

WE'RE NOT THERE YET, SO WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO, AT THE VERY MINIMUM, GET TO TO THAT PARTICULAR NUMBER.

BUT THAT NUMBER DOES NOT GET THAT MUCH BETTER WHEN YOU START LOOKING AT THE END OF THE FALL SEMESTER AND AT THE AT THE END, I MEAN, AT THE END OF THE SPRING

[00:20:01]

SEMESTER OR WHEN YOU GO TO TO THE SECOND YEAR.

SO WHAT WE CAN ACTUALLY SEE HERE IS THE OR BIGGEST LIMITING FACTOR FOR THE STUDENT GRADUATION ON ASSOCIATE DEGREES IS THE COMPLETION OF MATH AND ENGLISH.

AND WHAT WE HAVE BEEN DOING WITH THAT, FRANK BEGAN TO LOOK AT SOME DATA RECENTLY WITH THE WITH THE HELP OF AMBER AND ROBIN.

THEY'RE THEY'RE LOOKING AT SOME DASHBOARDS AND SOME DATA THAT IS, THAT IS GOING TO BEGIN SOME CONVERSATIONS THAT I THINK MICHAEL, THE DEAN AND CEM ALREADY BEGUN WITH THE FACULTY TO START TARGETING THE VARIOUS SPECIFIC AREAS IN WHICH WE SHOULD BE MAKING PROGRESS WITH THIS PARTICULAR DATA.

WE WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO DISAGGREGATE TO THE STUDENT LEVEL TO SEE WHERE THE STUDENTS ARE MISSING AND WHERE WHAT ARE THEY'RE NOT NECESSARILY ENROLLING.

SO ESSENTIALLY WE'RE LOOKING AT THIS AS BOTTLENECK POINTS IN WHICH THE STUDENTS EITHER ARE NOT PERFORMING OR ARE NOT ABLE TO ENROLL. AND WE'RE ADDRESSING THAT IN TWO WAYS.

ONE, HAVING THE CONVERSATION, THE PERFORMANCE CONVERSATION.

AND TWO WITH A NEW SYSTEM OF SCHEDULING THAT IS AROUND STUDENTS AND THEIR ABILITY TO, ROLL FROM CLASS TO CLASS IN A SEQUENTIAL MANNER IN WHICH, LET'S SAY IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE MATH AND ENGLISH, THE TWO CLASSES ARE A SCHEDULE WITH THE STUDENT IN MIND RATHER THAN SCHEDULING THEM INDEPENDENTLY.

SO THERE ARE SECTIONS THAT ARE MEANT FOR THE STUDENTS TO ROLL FROM SECTION TO SECTION, OR TO BE TAKEN CONCURRENTLY WITHOUT A STOP IN PROGRESS.

SO WE'RE TRYING TO LOOK AT MORE DISAGGREGATED APPROACH TO TO THE METHOD BY TRYING TO LOOK AT THE BATTLE POINTS FOR WHAT YOU'RE SAYING IS CORRECT.

THE LIMITING FACTOR, EVEN IF WE DID EVERYTHING WELL FROM THIS POINT ON, ONLY ONLY ACTUALLY 14% OF OUR STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO GRADUATE IN TWO YEARS OR LESS.

THESE ARE FIRST TIME STUDENTS.

FIRST TIME STUDENTS. YEAH.

SO AGAIN, I, I KEEP ON MAKING THE POINT IS THAT, YOU KNOW, WE ARE REALLY STRUGGLING WITH HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL OF MATH, THAT I LIVE IT EVERY DAY.

AND I GUESS, YOU KNOW, I'M REALLY INTERESTED IN SOME OF THE STRATEGIES TOO, THAT WHAT ARE WE DOING IN SOME OF OUR MATH LEVEL CLASSES THAT ARE MATH CLASSES THAT ARE WORKING AND THAT ARE NOT WORKING? BECAUSE, AGAIN, MATH IS A VERY DIFFICULT SUBJECT TO LEARN.

I FEEL SOME OF THE AND AGAIN, I'M NOT AN EDUCATOR, SO I'M CORRECTING MY TERMS ARE WRONG.

I THINK SOME OF THE STRATEGIES AND SOME OF HOW MATH IS TAUGHT IS NO LONGER CORRESPONDS WITH TODAY'S SOCIETY.

LIKE, I JUST DON'T THINK THAT YOUNG ADULTS LEARN, YOU KNOW, LEARN THE SAME WAY AS I LEARNED MATH, YOU KNOW, NOW, 20, 30 YEARS AGO. SO AGAIN, I MEAN, I'M INTERESTED IN THAT AS WELL, TOO, BECAUSE SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE.

BECAUSE, AGAIN, THE MATH LEVELS AT HIGH SCHOOL ARE JUST AS CHALLENGING.

AND I THINK THAT CONTINUES AGAIN WHEN WE GET TO COLLEGE.

SO AGAIN, YOU KNOW, I KEEP ON MENTIONING THAT LIKE, WE HAVE TO DO MORE WITH OUR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS BECAUSE THEY ARE UNDULY, YOU KNOW, UNDERPREPARED, YOU KNOW, BEFORE THEY EVEN GET HERE, YOU KNOW, AND I UNDERSTAND, YOU KNOW, IT'S A CHALLENGE, BUT IT'S JUST IT JUST REALLY IS LIKE I SAID, I'VE BEEN LIVING HERE.

IT'S A HARD I MEAN, I'M SURE DON AND EVERYBODY ELSE WHO WORKS IN K THROUGH 12 KNOWS, YOU KNOW, IT'S JUST IT'S JUST TOUGH.

SO I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THAT.

DOCTOR FIERRO IS REALLY UNDERSTANDING A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT WHAT WE'RE DOING.

IN OUR MATH CLASSES THAT'S WORKING.

THAT'S NOT WORKING.

AND WHAT CAN WE DO? I KNOW WE WENT THROUGH, LIKE, YOU KNOW, SOME CO-REQUISITE, YOU KNOW, ADDITIONAL SUPPORT, STUDENT CENTER OFFERING TUTORING.

IT'S JUST IT'S A CHALLENGE.

WELL, WE ALSO TALKED ABOUT, LIKE, DIFFERENT TYPES, OF COURSE, OFFERINGS, RIGHT.

LIKE PERSONAL FINANCE AND THAT KIND OF THING.

AND I THINK THERE MIGHT BE SOME, SOME OPPORTUNITY THERE.

AND I JUST DON'T KNOW IF THAT'S HAD A LOT OF TRACTION YET.

YEAH. I'D LIKE TO SAY ANYTHING.

WELL ECON IS DEVELOPING THEIR STATISTICS COURSE, SO WE ARE WORKING IN THAT.

ALSO, WE ARE DEVELOPING THIS SEMESTER.

WE'RE DEVELOPING CONTEXTUALIZED.

I'M SORRY, THE MIC IN PART, JUST SO YOU CAN GO.

WE CAN HAVE IT ON RECORD, I GOT IT, YEAH.

THEN I BETTER PEOPLE OUT THERE KNOW WHERE, DON'T YOU? THIS THE SO THE WE ALSO ARE DOING STARTED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AROUND CONTEXTUALIZED MATH AND ENGLISH.

AND SO AND THOSE ARE AROUND THE LCP'S SO THAT WHEN THEY ARE WRITING PAPERS, READING ARTICLES, SOLVING PROBLEMS, THEY'RE SOLVING.

THEY'RE READING, WRITING, AND SOLVING PROBLEMS AROUND TOPICS THAT THEY'RE INTERESTED IN.

THERE'S A ALL KINDS OF DATA TO SUGGEST THAT CONTEXTUALIZED COURSES STUDENTS DO BETTER.

[00:25:03]

SO WE ARE YOU KNOW, WE STARTED THIS FOUR MONTHS AGO AND WE'RE MAKING STRIDES ALREADY.

AND SO WE'RE CONTINUING TO WORK.

WE HAVE AN OUTSTANDING DEAN IN SCIENCE, ENGINEERING AND MATH, AND HE'S WORKING WITH THE MATH DEPARTMENT.

THEY HAVE A RETREAT ON FRIDAY TO GO OVER SOME OF THE THINGS THAT THEY WANT TO TRY.

WE'RE REALLY TRYING TO WE'RE REALLY TRYING TO GET THE FACULTY INPUT.

WHAT IS IT THEY THINK THE STUDENTS NEED? HOW CAN WE HELP THEM? THAT RETREAT IS GOING TO TO ANSWER SOME OF THOSE QUESTIONS FOR US.

THE OTHER THING I'D LIKE TO POINT OUT IS THAT 37% IS AROUND THE COHORT NUMBER.

WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE 37% VERSUS ATTEMPTED, THEN WE HAVE A 55% SUCCESS RATE.

AND WHEN WE LOOK SO IT'S SO IT'S NOT AS DIRE AS IT FIRST APPEARS.

AND 55 IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, BUT IT'S BETTER THAN 37.

SO WE WANT TO GET IT.

WE WANT TO GET IT AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE.

BUT YOU KNOW, THE THE STUDENTS WHO WERE THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS THAT ATTEMPTED AND THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS THAT PASS WERE 55% IN ENGLISH, ABOUT 40% IN MATH, AGAIN, NOT GOOD ENOUGH, BUT NOT 18% AND NOT 37%.

SO I DID WANT I DID WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT AS WELL.

AS WELL.

ANYTHING ELSE? YEAH. I MEAN, I THINK THERE ARE, THERE ARE, THERE ARE FEW PIECES HERE.

THE WE NEED TO REMEMBER THE THE ATTEMPTING BRINGS MORE STUDENTS INTO THE CLASSROOM, WHICH IN TURN, EVEN IF INITIALLY IT DOES NOT INCREASE THE SUCCESS RATE, INCREASES THE THROUGHPUT, AND THE THROUGHPUT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR US BECAUSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE, AND THE MORE PEOPLE THEY GET ACROSS, THE MORE PEOPLE THAT FINISH, OBVIOUSLY THE BETTER. BUT THE NEXT STEP OF THAT IS TO ACTUALLY INCREASE THE PERCENTAGE BECAUSE, AS FRANK WAS MENTIONING, YES, 55% ISN'T GREAT AND THERE IS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT, BUT 55% OF 155% OF 200.

IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR THE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT THAT IS GOING THROUGH.

SAME SAME THING IN MATHEMATICS.

AND THE NEXT TAKE AWAY FROM HERE IS THAT UNLESS WE CHANGE THOSE PERCENTAGE RATES OR ABILITY TO CHANGE OR TOTAL GRADUATION RATE IS HINDERED BECAUSE WITHOUT THOSE TWO CLASSES, MOST OF OUR STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GRADUATE.

SO THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT.

THE OTHER PART, WHEN WE LOOK AT THE EFFORT OF CSEP, WELL, WE MAY NOT SEE THAT AS A TRANSLATION OF SUCCESS RIGHT AWAY.

WE ALREADY KNOW THAT THE STUDENTS THEY HAVE, THEY HAVE A FULL CCEP FROM THE GET GO, HAVE ABOUT TWO AND A HALF TIMES, ABOUT TWO AND A HALF TIMES MORE LIKELY TO COMPLETE.

AND THOSE ARE OUR STUDENTS, OUR DATA FROM THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS.

SO THIS COHORT OF STUDENTS THAT CAME IN WITH 87% OF THEM HAVING CCEP RIGHT AWAY, THEIR CHANCES OF GRADUATION, STATISTICALLY SPEAKING, ARE GREATER THAN THE COHORTS IN THE PAST.

SO ON THE SECOND, THIRD, FOURTH YEAR, WE MAY NOT DECREASE THE TIME TO COMPLETION FOR THESE STUDENTS YET, BUT WE'RE INCREASING THEIR ABILITY TO GRADUATE.

OVERALL, WHICH IS, AGAIN A POSITIVE THING.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WE'RE HOPING TO HAVE ALL THE STRATEGIES, ALL THE TECHNOLOGY AND ALL THE INFRASTRUCTURE READY BY THE END OF THIS SEMESTER SO WE CAN START THE REAL TRACKING, IF YOU WILL, BEGINNING THE FALL.

THE I, I LY THE LAST THING I'M GOING TO SAY IS THAT THE A A STUDENT FIRST FRAMEWORK, WHICH IS OUR NEW EDUCATIONAL PLAN IS ALL AROUND THIS.

IT'S ALL AROUND INCREASING OUR VELOCITY TO COMPLETION.

EVERY SINGLE STRATEGY, EVERY SINGLE LEVER THAT WE'RE LISTING UNDER THAT PLAN, IS STRICTLY DESIGNED TO HELP OUR STUDENTS COMPLETE IN FIVE YEARS OR LESS. SO. SO ESSENTIALLY, WE'RE GOING ALL IN ON THIS INITIATIVE.

WE'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO PRESENT THESE NUMBERS, WHETHER THEY ARE LOOKING GREAT OR NOT, BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP US ALL ACCOUNTABLE.

I DO WANT TO TELL YOU THAT I WANT TO ASSURE YOU THAT OUR FACULTY AND THE MATH AND ENGLISH ARE WORKING VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND THE STUDENTS AS WE'VE COME OUT OF THIS AS WE LIVE IN THE POST PANDEMIC.

THEY ARE WORKING VERY HARD TO, TO ADAPT TO WHAT, WHAT THEY NEED.

[00:30:06]

AND SO THEY'RE ON IT, AND WE WILL KEEP STRUGGLING AND FIGHTING TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE DOING BEST BY THE STUDENTS.

JUST THANKS, VICE PRESIDENT MIXON, I THINK WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT IS REALLY IMPORTANT.

BECAUSE THE FACULTY ARE THE ONES THAT ARE GOING TO REALLY BE THE WHERE THE RUBBER MEETS THE ROAD ON A LOT OF THIS STUFF.

AND I, I STILL I LOOK AT THESE NUMBERS AND I THINK NOT THAT WE'RE, YOU KNOW, I THINK WE'VE DONE WELL COMPARED, YOU KNOW, COMPARATIVELY, GIVEN WHERE WE'RE AT IN OUR, IN OUR HISTORY COMPARED TO OTHER INSTITUTIONS.

BUT THE MY REACTION IS, OF COURSE, WHEN WE LOOK AT WHAT OUR GOAL IS LIKE, WOW, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO DO A LOT OF THINGS DIFFERENT IN ORDER TO MEET THAT GOAL.

AND I DO SEE A REGULATOR, PARTICULARLY AROUND MATH.

THAT SORT OF IS THE CALLER, I THINK A BIT FOR OUR GRADUATION RATE.

AND, AND SO I REALLY APPRECIATE THE, THE FACULTY'S WILLINGNESS TO MEET AND PUSH NEW IDEAS ABOUT HOW TO MAKE MATH A LESS INTIMIDATING, BECAUSE I THINK THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS WE WE'VE DISCOVERED IS A LOT OF PEOPLE JUST DON'T WANT TO SIGN UP BECAUSE THERE'S THEY LOOK AT THE COURSE LIST AND THEY'RE THEY'RE SCARED.

BUT IF WE CAN EVEN LIKE THE TITLES OF MATH COURSES, RIGHT.

AT LEAST AT A CERTAIN LEVEL, THAT MIGHT BE A LITTLE BIT MORE ACCESSIBLE.

AND THEN AND THEN REALLY KIND OF WHAT PRACTICALLY IS IT, LIKE YOU SAID, MAKING IT A VERY KIND OF APPLIED.

AND I'M DEFINITELY PULLING MY MY BEST CARMEN ON THIS WHERE, YOU KNOW, I JUST REMEMBER BEING IN HIGH SCHOOL, BEING IN, LIKE, REMEDIAL MATH AND REALLY FIGURING, HEY, MAYBE IT WASN'T MY THING.

AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I STARTED GOING TO THIS APPLIED, EXPERIMENTAL APPLIED MATH CLASS.

AND THEN I ENDED UP LIKE, YOU KNOW, FAST FORWARD ALL THE YEARS AND AND I'M LIKE, OH, I HAVE A MASTER'S DEGREE IN ECONOMICS, YOU KNOW, AND YOU'RE LIKE, OH, MAYBE, MAYBE I WASN'T BAD AT MATH. I JUST WASN'T THINKING ABOUT IT.

RIGHT. AND AND I JUST REALLY WANT TO ENCOURAGE US TO SAY, WELL, MAYBE THERE'S A FEW OTHER BIRKEY OUT THERE IN THAT, IN THAT MISSING PERCENTAGE POINTS.

SO I WANT TO JUST TIE IT ALL TOGETHER BECAUSE DOCTOR FARRELL HIGHLIGHTED ON POINTS I WANTED TO MENTION AS WELL.

SO DOCTOR MIXON, DOCTOR BRAMMER AND I, WE DID A ROAD SHOW LAST SEMESTER.

WE WENT TO EVERY DIVISION, EVERY DEPARTMENT, EVERY COMMITTEE MEETING.

SO EVERYONE HAS THAT 50% GOAL MEMORIZED.

THEY CAN SAY IT IN THEIR SLEEP.

SO AND WITH THAT, YOU KNOW, LIKE DOCTOR FARRELL MENTIONED, WE JUST STARTED THIS LAST SEMESTER, BUT WE'RE ALREADY SEEING SOME POSITIVE INCREMENTAL CHANGES WITH THE DATA.

AND SO I SHARE THE WEEKLY UPDATES, THE KPIS WITH THE EXECUTIVE TEAM EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY.

THEY GET UPDATES COMPARISON TO OUR GOALS, COMPARISON TO THE PREVIOUS WEEK.

THE DATA COACHES AND THE SUCCESS TEAMS. THEY'RE TRACKING THIS INFORMATION AS WELL.

THEY'RE GETTING IT WEEKLY.

THEY'RE OUTREACHING TO STUDENTS.

AND WE'RE DOING THINGS LIKE THE NINE WEEK COURSES.

IF A STUDENT DOESN'T SUCCEED THE FIRST NINE WEEKS, THEY HAVE THE SECOND NINE WEEKS.

SO WE ARE TRYING NEW STRATEGIES LIKE YOU MENTIONED, ESPECIALLY AROUND TRANSFER LEVEL MATH.

WE KNOW THAT'S OUR BIGGEST BARRIER.

SO IT'S KIND OF THE PILOT YEAR.

WE'RE TESTING IT OUT TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WE CAN DO TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING NEXT YEAR.

AND WE ALSO HAVE A KPI DASHBOARD SO ANYONE ON CAMPUS CAN GO AND LOOK AT THIS INFORMATION.

THANK YOU. THIS IS I WAS GOING TO SAY IT'S KIND OF HARD TO PRESENT ALL THESE UPDATES WHEN, LIKE, WE DON'T EVEN HAVE OUR FIRST REAL COHORT THROUGH THE PROCESS, BUT THANK YOU GUYS. YEAH.

IS THE REASON FOR THE FIVE YEAR.

ARE WE TRACKING THEM AFTER THEY LEAVE HERE TOO? RIGHT. BECAUSE HOPEFULLY SOME OF THEM WILL TRANSFER AND GRADUATE A UNIVERSITY IN FIVE YEARS TOO.

YEAH, THAT'S A GREAT POINT.

WE'VE ACTUALLY JUST STARTED LOOKING AT NATIONAL STUDENT CLEARINGHOUSE DATA.

IT TAKES TIME.

THE DATA LAGS ABOUT A YEAR BEHIND BEFORE WE CAN SEE WHERE THEY'RE TRANSFER.

BUT THE CSU AND UC DO HAVE DASHBOARDS WITH APPLICATION RATES AND ALSO THOSE THAT ENROLL.

SO I DO SHARE THAT INFORMATION WITH THE MANAGERS, AND I'M HAPPY TO SHARE THAT BACK HERE AS WELL.

AND THAT IS ONE OF THE LEVERS THAT WE'RE CONSIDERING IN THE STUDENT FIRST FRAMEWORK THAT IS TRANSFER AND EMPLOYABILITY.

FOR THOSE THAT ARE ALREADY WORKING ON WORKFORCE DEGREES THAT ARE LEADING TO INDUSTRY RIGHT AWAY.

AND IT'S ALL BASED ON THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGION AND AND WHERE WITHIN THE EDUCATIONAL LADDER, A DEGREE CAN BE, FOR LACK OF A BETTER WORD, MONETIZED.

SO, FOR INSTANCE, I WENT TO SCHOOL AND IF I GET AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN BIOLOGY, MY SALARY WITH AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE WILL NOT CHANGE THAT MUCH.

BUT IF I TRANSFER IT AND THEN I GO TO A GRADUATE PROGRAM, MY SALARY CHANGED DRASTICALLY WITH THAT DEGREE.

HOWEVER, IF I'M A NURSE, MY SALARY INCREASES RIGHT AWAY AS SOON AS I BECOME REGISTERED, WHICH IS SHORTLY THEREAFTER OF THE ASSOCIATE

[00:35:08]

DEGREE. SO. SO WHAT WE'RE TRYING TO DO IS MAKE THE CONNECTION FOR US TO OTHER INSTITUTIONS, FOR US, TO THE INDUSTRY AND FOR THE STUDENT TO WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN THEY COMPLETE AN ACADEMIC DEGREE AND WHERE THEY CAN MONETIZE THAT EFFORT? ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS? I'M GLAD YOU PRESENT THIS AS A SNIPPET BECAUSE IT'S ALWAYS LIKE HALF AN HOUR, BUT I KNOW I HAVE A QUESTION.

OH THAT'S ALLOWED.

FIRST I DID WANT TO SAY THAT I REALLY LOVE THIS.

WHEN I FIRST CAME TO CERRITOS, I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING LIKE I ONLY TOOK FOUR UNITS AND MOST OF THEM WEREN'T EVEN TRANSFERABLE.

SO I'M GLAD TO KNOW THAT INCOMING STUDENTS WILL HAVE SOME TYPE OF STRUCTURE TO THEIR EDUCATION PLAN, BUT I'M VERY CURIOUS TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS ARE DOING OUTSIDE OF, LIKE, THE FACULTY TO GET STUDENTS TO SUCCEED IN THEIR FIRST FIVE CLASSES.

IS THAT WHAT IT IS? THEY'RE THEIR FIRST FIVE COURSES.

YEAH. OUTSIDE OF WHAT FACULTY CAN DO.

THAT'S A GREAT QUESTION.

SO EACH STUDENT IS A PART OF A LEARNING AND CAREER PATHWAY, AND WITHIN THAT THEY HAVE A SUCCESS TEAM, WHICH IS A CROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT TEAM OF FACULTY.

YOU HAVE A DEAN, YOU HAVE COUNSELORS, YOU HAVE A DATA COACH WHO'S ALSO A FACULTY MEMBER.

YOU HAVE LIKE A SOCIAL WORKER AS WELL FOR OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM.

SO REALLY TRYING TO PROVIDE THAT HOLISTIC SUPPORT FOR OUR STUDENTS.

AND WITH THAT, WE HAVE EBY NAVIGATE, WHICH IS AN EARLY ALERT TOOL.

SO IF A STUDENT IF A FACULTY MEMBER REALIZES, OKAY, I NEED A REFERRAL FOR, YOU KNOW, BASIC NEEDS OFFICE, WE HAVE THAT ADDITIONAL SUPPORT TO SUPPORT STUDENTS, NOT JUST ACADEMICALLY BUT OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM AS WELL.

YEAH, I WAS LIKE, IS THAT AN EARTHQUAKE? WOW. YOU'RE CHATTERING INFORMATION.

I KNOW GOD AGREES WITH YOU.

YEAH. GROUNDBREAKING. GROUNDBREAKING.

GROUNDBREAKING. RIGHT THERE.

STUDENTS AFTER THEIR FIRST YEAR, THEY JUST DO IT ON THEIR OWN.

THE SUCCESS TEAM, JUST THEY FOCUS ON EVERYONE WITHIN THE COHORT.

BUT THE METRICS THAT WE'RE TRACKING IS JUST FIRST TIME STUDENTS, BECAUSE THAT'S WHEN WE CAN MAKE AN IMPACT ON THAT FIVE YEAR GRADUATION RATE.

YEAH. YEAH.

THE OTHER PART TO REMEMBER, AND YOU PROBABLY REMEMBER THIS INITIATIVE AND JUDY JUST GOT RECOGNIZED FOR THAT IS THE CERRITOS CARES.

AND THERE ARE TWO THINGS THAT THE CURRENT RESEARCH IS SHOWING THAT CREATE THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON A STUDENT'S SUCCESS.

THE FIRST ONE ARE RELATIONSHIPS AND THE SECOND ONE CLASSROOM EXPERIENCES AS TRUSTEE BIRKEY JUST MENTIONED.

SO IT IS VERY, VERY IMPORTANT FOR US THAT WHEN OUR STUDENTS COME TO CAMPUS, THEY FEEL WELCOME FROM DAY ONE, REGARDLESS OF WHO THEY MEET WITH, BECAUSE ONCE THEY CREATE A CONNECTION, THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO MAKE IT TO THE ADMISSION OFFICE AND MORE LIKELY TO THEN GET THAT COUNSELING APPOINTMENT, AND MORE LIKELY TO THEN SEE THAT COUNSELOR WHEN THEY COME TO CAMPUS AND THEY CANNOT MAKE A CONNECTION DURING THE FIRST COUPLE OF VISITS, THEY ARE MORE LIKELY NOT TO COME BACK.

WHEN THEY GET TO CAMPUS.

THEY MAKE THE CONNECTION AND THEY HAVE A GOOD CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE AS THE STUDENTS HAVE INCREDIBLY HIGH SUCCESS RATES.

IF THEY HAVE A BAD CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE, THEY ARE LESS LIKELY TO DROP.

IF THEY HAVE A STRONG CONNECTION WITH SOMEONE ELSE THAT CAN PLACE THEM ELSEWHERE.

AND IF NEITHER ONE IS HAPPENING, THOSE STUDENTS DON'T COME BACK.

AND THAT IS NOT JUST FOR CERRITOS COLLEGE DATA.

THAT IS LIKE NATIONAL DATA THAT IS BEING DEVELOPED AT THIS TIME.

THAT IS LIKE THE NEW THING THAT IS REALLY CHECKING ON WHAT IS IT THAT IS HAPPENING.

THAT IS NOT NECESSARILY WHAT WE DEFINE ACADEMIC TO THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE.

AND BASICALLY TIME AND TIME AGAIN, THESE COLLEGES, THEY HAVE VERY STRONG STUDENT EXPERIENCE AND CONNECTION TEND TO HAVE A STRONGER SUCCESS RATES AND RETENTION RATES.

ANYONE ELSE? THANK YOU, DOCTOR ROCK.

WE KNOW EVERYONE'S WORKING REALLY HARD.

I KNOW IT'S A TEAM EFFORT.

MY QUESTION IS, I THINK LIKE TRUSTEE BIRKEY SAID IT'S GOING TO REALLY IT'S AN UPHILL CLIMB.

RIGHT. AND, AND I THINK WE NEED TO SEE THESE LITTLE SNIPPETS.

AND MY QUESTION IS, WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE PULLING? WELL, EVERYONE IS PULLING FROM TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX, RIGHT? BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN DOING THINGS THE SAME WAY FOR SO LONG.

SO WHERE'S THE INSPIRATION TO REALLY WHERE ARE WE GETTING THE INSPIRATION FROM TO KIND OF DO THINGS DIFFERENT, SHAKE UP THE SYSTEM BECAUSE SYSTEMS DON'T LIKE TO BE SHAKEN UP. RIGHT.

AND IT'S GOING TO REQUIRE SOME SHAKING.

RIGHT. SO I WANT TO SEE YOUR THOUGHTS.

AND THE OTHER QUESTION IS, DO YOU ARE YOU COMFORTABLE WITH WHERE WE ARE RIGHT NOW? LIKE, IS THIS A LIKE ARE YOU WHERE WE WERE? WE'RE EXPECTED TO BE.

[00:40:02]

YEAH. SO WE HAVE GOALS FOR I'LL START WITH THE SECOND QUESTION.

I'LL ANSWER THAT. SO WE DO HAVE GOALS FOR EACH METRIC ARE ATTEMPTING IN SPRING.

WE'RE CLOSE TO HITTING THOSE GOALS.

SO WE'RE NOT THERE YET.

BUT WE ARE DOING BETTER THAN PREVIOUS FALL SEMESTERS.

IS IT LIKE WHERE I'D WANT US TO BE? I MEAN, I THINK WE CAN ALWAYS DO BETTER.

I'M ALWAYS TRYING TO GET US TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

LIKE WHAT FRANK SAID, THERE'S ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.

WITH REGARDS TO CUTTING EDGE INFORMATION, WE PURCHASE HIGH POINT.

WE'RE IMPLEMENTING THAT.

THAT'S GOING TO BE ABLE TO TELL OUR STUDENTS EXACTLY WHAT COURSES THEY NEED TO TAKE EACH SEMESTER, WHETHER THEY'RE FULL TIME OR PART TIME.

AND SO THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO TO CHANGE THEIR SCHEDULE, WHATEVER FITS BEST WITH THEM DEPENDING ON THEIR MAJOR.

AND THEN WITH REGARDS TO THE ACADEMIC SIDE, WE ARE LOOKING AT, YOU KNOW, RESEARCH AND NOT JUST WITHIN CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGES, BUT AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL, WHAT'S BEEN DONE SO WE CAN BETTER STRATEGIZE AND IMPLEMENT THINGS TO REALLY TRY AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

AND THE LAST FALL SEMESTER, WITH THE SUCCESS TEAMS, IT'S LIKE I GAVE THE DATA COACHES WEEK BY WEEK.

THIS IS WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING OUTREACHING TO STUDENTS, WHETHER THEY'RE ENROLLED IN 15 UNITS THE END OF THE FALL SEMESTER, ARE THEY ENROLLED IN SPRING? IF NOT, LET'S OUTREACH TO THEM TO GET THEM ENROLLED, TO KEEP THEM RETAINED.

SO WE'RE TRYING THESE THINGS TO FIGURE OUT KIND OF WHAT WORKS BEST TO REALLY SEE THE DATA INCREASE.

SO ONE MORE THING. OKAY.

I JUST WANTED TO KNOW OUTSIDE OF LIKE WELCOME WEEK BECAUSE STUDENT LEADERS, WE DO LIKE A COUPLE OF DAYS.

IN THE FIRST DAYS OF THE SEMESTER, WE HAVE BOOTHS ALL DAY SO THAT STUDENTS CAN COME IN AND ASK QUESTIONS AND FIND THEIR CLASSES AND WHATNOT.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT STUDENT LEADERS CAN DO ON CAMPUS TO HELP ENCOURAGE OTHER STUDENTS TO STAY AND CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION ON THIS FIRST ESSENTIAL DAYS? I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT, SO I'M GOING TO TURN IT OVER TO DOCTOR BRAMMER.

WE'RE WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF DOING UPDATING OUR EDUCATIONAL MASTER PLAN AS STUDENT FIRST FRAMEWORK, AND WE'RE GOING TO BE INVITING STUDENTS.

WE ALREADY HEARD FROM SOME OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT SAYING THEY WANT TO BE PART OF THE CHANGE.

THEY WANT TO HELP US TO GET WHERE WE NEED TO BE, AND WE'RE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING HOW WE CAN CHANGE WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING.

A LOT OF THE COMMITTEES THAT WE'VE BEEN DOING THIS LAST YEAR SINCE, AS DOCTOR BROCK WAS SAYING, EVERYBODY IS VERY FAMILIAR NOW WITH THE 50% GOAL.

THERE'S JUST QUESTIONS, HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET THERE? WHAT CAN WE DO DIFFERENTLY.

AND STUDENTS ARE ASKING THOSE QUESTIONS TOO.

WE'VE GOT FACULTY AND STAFF ASKING US THOSE QUESTIONS.

AND WE WE KNOW WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO DO SOMETHING FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT.

SO WE KEEP TALKING ABOUT WHAT THOSE THINGS WOULD BE AND WHAT CAN WE DO TO TRY TO GET THOSE THINGS IMPLEMENTED AND TO MAKE CHANGES.

BUT YOU'RE GOING TO BE HEARING A LOT MORE ABOUT THAT IN THE SPRING AS WE REALLY LAUNCH.

AND WE'LL HAVE A CAMPAIGN ON MARCH 1ST WHERE WE WANT ALL OF THE THE FACULTY AND STAFF TO BE ENGAGED IN THE CONVERSATION.

AND THEN WE'LL BE ASKING STUDENTS EVEN MORE AS WE GO THROUGH THE TIME I HEARD, LIKE AN IMPLIED OFFER IN TRUSTEE STONE SCOTT'S QUESTION.

SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO TALK SEPARATELY.

YEAH. IF I MAY.

SO THERE IS A GOOD QUESTION, JACKIE, AND I'M GOING TO HOLD YOU TO IT, AND I'M GOING TO HOLD YOUR NEW SEC VICE PRESIDENT JOSE.

BECAUSE THE WAY THAT YOU CAN BE OF HELP IS BY LEARNING THE IMPACT THE TIME TO COMPLETION HAS ON YOUR EDUCATION, YOUR CHANCES TO FINISH YOUR DEGREE, AND THE EXCESS COSTS THAT YOU WILL CARRY WITH YOU BY NOT FINISHING ON TIME.

TWO. THE EMPLOYABILITY OF THE DEGREE THAT YOU'RE SEEKING.

THERE ARE NO BAD FIELDS OF EDUCATION THAT WE OFFER.

THEY'RE LESS PROFITABLE DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU STOP YOUR EDUCATIONAL CAREER.

SO IF YOU WANT TO BE A HISTORIAN, AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE ISN'T GOING TO GET YOU.

REALLY WHERE YOU WANT TO BE FINANCIALLY.

YOU WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE THAT PATH SO YOUR PATH TO EDUCATION ISN'T AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE LIKELY.

IT'S AT MINIMUM A MASTER'S DEGREE OR A DOCTORAL DEGREE TO BE ABLE TO REALLY GET THE FULL BENEFIT OUT OF THAT HISTORY DEGREE.

SO IT'S NOT THE HISTORY IS BAD.

IT IS FINE.

BUT WE NEED TO BE VERY TRANSPARENT OF WHAT IS IT THAT YOU AS A STUDENT CAN GET THE APPLICATION NOT ONLY PROFESSIONALLY BUT ECONOMICALLY OF THAT DEGREE.

THE TIME THAT WILL TAKE YOU THERE, HOW TO GET THERE.

AND THAT IS SOMETHING THAT YOU SHOULD LEARN AND YOU SHOULD ASK OF US.

THREE I THINK IT'S FAIR FROM ALL OF YOU TO ASK US, WHAT ARE YOUR CHANCES OF PASSING, MATT?

[00:45:01]

WHAT ARE YOUR CHANCES OF PASSING ENGLISH, AND WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR YOU TO GRADUATE WITHIN YOUR DESIRED TIME? IT IS VERY MUCH FAIR.

SO IF YOU WANT TO GRADUATE IN TWO YEARS, IT SHOULD BE A VERY CLEAR PATH FOR US TO OFFER TO YOU ON HOW WE GRADUATE YOU IN TWO YEARS AWAY.

YOU FOLLOW THE PLAN AND AND DO YOUR YOUR PART, RIGHT.

IF YOUR GRADUATION PATH IS THREE YEARS, YOU SHOULD ASK FOR THAT.

SO SO I THINK IF A STUDENT LEADERS BECOME VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE OUTCOMES, THE COST, THE REAL COST OF YOUR EDUCATION AND THE IMPLICATIONS OF NOT TRANSFERRING ON TIME OR NOT COMPLETING ON TIME MONEY WISE FOR YOUR FUTURE.

I GUARANTEE YOU THAT WHEN YOU DO THAT MATH AND THAT RESEARCH, YOUR EYES ARE GOING TO BE OPEN BIG.

BECAUSE WHEN YOU LOOK THE COST, THE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT YOU INVEST IN YOUR OWN EDUCATION AND WHAT YOU'RE NOT GETTING IN THE BACK END FOR TAKING A YEAR LONGER OR TWO LONGER, YOU'RE GOING TO SAY, WOW, I NEED TO BE ASKING ABOUT THIS, AND I'M GOING TO TELL MY FRIENDS.

AND I THINK THAT IS WHERE YOU CAN HAVE THE BIGGEST IMPACT.

ALSO, THOUGH, IT SOUNDED LIKE YOU WERE SAYING THAT MAYBE THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS STUDENT GROUPS CAN DO IN THE LIKE THE FIRST FEW DAYS, LIKE THE WAY YOU TALKED ABOUT IT MEANT IT SOUNDED LIKE, HEY, IS THERE A GROUP OF LIKE 2 OR 3 STUDENTS THAT COME THE LAST FIVE MINUTES OF THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS TO EACH CLASSROOM, OR A BUNCH OF CLASSROOMS JUST TO LET THEM KNOW THAT, HEY, THERE'S STUDENT GROUPS AVAILABLE.

THEY GET TO KNOW SOMEBODY.

WHEN I FIRST WALKED ONTO CAMPUS, I DIDN'T KNOW ANYBODY.

BUT THAT'S A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE THAT WANT TO GET TO KNOW YOU.

LIKE JUST AN ABILITY TO CONNECT WITH SOMEBODY.

MAYBE I'M JUST DIALING IT TOO FAR BACK, BUT TO YOUR ORIGINAL POINT OF LIKE, HOW DO WE HOW DO WE GET PEOPLE TO FEEL LIKE THEY KNOW SOMEONE? SO THAT THEY CAN START THAT PATH AND GET SOME MOMENTUM RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING.

WELL, ON THAT ANY TRUSTEE SCOTT WAS ALSO AT OUR LEADERSHIP RETREAT THAT WE DID IN JANUARY, AND MANY THINGS CAME OUT OF THAT.

LIKE ON OUR STUDENT APP, THERE IS A WALL WHERE STUDENTS ARE VERY ACTIVE IN EXCHANGING IDEAS AND CONNECTING.

AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT STUDENT GOVERNMENT DID WAS THEY STARTED TO SAY, WE NEED SOME MODERATORS ON HERE TO START LOOKING AND MAKING SURE THOSE CONVERSATIONS ARE HAPPENING RIGHT. AND THEY'VE DONE A GREAT JOB WITH THAT.

THEY'VE ALSO BEEN DOING A GREAT JOB STARTING NEW CLUBS, AND WE'RE PROBABLY GOING TO HAVE RECORD BREAKING CLUBS THIS YEAR FOR THE NUMBER OF ACTIVITIES THAT WE'RE HAVING ON CAMPUS.

SO THERE'S THAT.

THERE ARE THINGS THAT THEY'RE DOING, AND THOSE ARE THE KINDS OF THINGS THAT WE NEED TO DO.

MORE OF WHAT I MEANT BY SAYING WE'RE GOING TO BE HAVING MORE CONVERSATION THIS SPRING IS THAT THOSE ARE GREAT THINGS, BUT WE NEED MORE, AND WE HAVE TO BE THINKING OUTSIDE OF WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING TO TRY AND GET TO THAT HIGHER LEVEL.

AND THAT'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO ENGAGING THE STUDENTS WITH IN THE IN THE COMING MONTHS.

I'D LIKE TO MAKE I'D LIKE TO MAKE ONE SUGGESTION.

ENCOURAGE YOUR COLLEAGUES TO SEEK HELP WHEN THEY NEED IT.

AND TO YOUR POINT ABOUT THAT CONNECTION, BECAUSE MANY ARE ONLINE AND MAYBE DON'T HAVE THE SAME CONNECTION TO THE INSTITUTION.

I THINK THEY'RE A LITTLE HESITANT TO GET THAT HELP, BUT WE HAVE A LOT OF RESOURCES AVAILABLE, AND THEY'RE JUST NOT BEING UTILIZED TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY SHOULD BE.

SO REAL ENCOURAGEMENT AND SEEKING HELP IS WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL, I THINK.

SORRY, SORRY, I ASKED.

GREAT. THANK YOU EVERYBODY.

THANK YOU, DOCTOR ROCK FOR THE PRESENTATION.

WHEN'S THE NEXT SNIPPET? NEXT BOARD MEETING. OH, GREAT.

OKAY. GREAT NEWS.

OKAY. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

OKAY, GREAT.

SO IT'S A STANDING RECURRING ITEM.

OKAY, GREAT.

NEXT ITEM IS OUR CONSENT CALENDAR.

[3. Consent Items]

WOULD ANYONE LIKE TO PULL ANY ITEMS? I GOT PUT THIS BACK UP.

I WAS GOING TO PULL JUST REAL QUICK.

I THINK IT'S THE SECOND TO LAST ITEM.

OR COMPENSATION INCREASE OR NO.

GHANA. OKAY. WE'LL PULL 3.2.

ANYONE ELSE WOULD LIKE TO PULL AN ITEM? I WOULD LIKE TO PULL.

OH, SORRY. THREE POINT. WHAT DID I SAY 3.3.3.20 ANYONE ELSE? 3.06. JUST A QUESTION.

POINT OF CLARIFICATION. 3.06.

ANY OTHERS? OKAY. CAN I GET A MOTION TO APPROVE.

CONSENT CALENDAR -3.06 AND 3.20.

SO MOVED. SECOND.

THANK YOU. OKAY, SO THAT'S BEEN APPROVED.

AND WE WILL DISCUSS 3.06 FIRST.

[3.06 Consideration of Rejection of RFP No. C23000000433, Performing Arts Center Façade Public Art Project]

[00:50:02]

THANK YOU. SO READING OVER THE RECOMMENDED ACTION, I JUST HAD QUESTIONS QUESTIONS IN REGARD TO WHAT WAS THE COMMITTEE REALLY LOOKING FOR THAT THEY DID NOT FIND? YOU KNOW THE, THE APPLICANTS QUALIFIED FOR THANK YOU FOR FOR THE QUESTION.

AND THANK YOU FOR TAKING INTEREST ON THIS.

SO AS ALL OF YOU KNOW IN 20 1516 BUDGET, WE CREATED THE ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS.

I THINK IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS WE DID TOGETHER AS A BOARD.

AND EVER SINCE, WE HAVE BEEN PUTTING PUBLIC ART IN DIFFERENT AREAS OF CAMPUS.

THE MURALS THAT YOU SEE IN THE STUDENT CENTER ARE PART OF THAT PROJECT, A MURAL COMING BACK ON THE BACK OF THAT BUILDING, ALSO PART OF THE PROJECT.

SO WE WANTED TO ENHANCE THE LOOK ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER.

SO WE PUT A CALL FOR PROPOSAL.

ALL PROPOSALS SUBMITTED.

IT WAS VERY IT WAS VERY GOOD ART.

THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG REALLY WITH IT.

BUT AS WE SUBMITTED FOR CAMPUS FEEDBACK THE THE CAMPUS REALLY DIDN'T THINK WHAT IT WAS SUBMITTED CAPTURES THE SPIRIT OF THE CAMPUS.

SO SO IT WASN'T NECESSARILY THE QUALITY OF WHAT WAS SUBMITTED, OR THE PEOPLE DID NOT LIKE WHAT IT WAS SUBMITTED IS THE IT SEEMED THAT DID NOT ALIGN WITH THE SPIRIT THAT WE ARE TRYING TO CONVEY ON CAMPUS.

SO SPEAKING OF THE SPIRIT THAT WE'RE TRYING TO CONVEY, I WILL HOPE THAT IT HAS, YOU KNOW, SOME TYPE OF CULTURAL DIVERSITY EMBEDDED IN IT.

YOU KNOW, OF COURSE, OUR ACHIEVEMENTS AS A COLLEGE.

BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL.

AND I'M NOT SURE IF IT WAS ESTABLISHED OR NOT TO HAVE SOME TYPE OF RUBRIC SO THAT THE APPLICANTS HAVE A BETTER GUIDE AND DEVELOPING, YOU KNOW, THE ARTWORK SO THAT IN OUR NEXT COHORT, IF THERE, YOU KNOW, WILL BE A NEXT COHORT OF APPLICANTS THAT ARE REVIEWED, YOU KNOW, IT'S MORE ALIGNED TO WHAT OUR VISION IS FOR THE PROJECT.

I AGREE WITH YOU.

THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THE CULTURALLY RELEVANT.

I THINK THAT PROBABLY WAS SOMETHING THAT MOST PEOPLE THAT TOOK THE TIME TO FILL THE SURVEY IT REALLY WERE LOOKING FOR.

SO SO WE'LL BE SURE TO REVIEW THE CALL AND, AND THE APPLICANTS BECAUSE WE WERE GOING TO GO BACK OUT AGAIN.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO CONTINUE TO ENHANCE THE CAMPUS.

BUT BUT YEAH, IT WASN'T ANYTHING WITH THE ARTIST OR THE ART.

PEOPLE DIDN'T LIKE THE ART.

IT'S JUST SIMPLY THEY DIDN'T FIND WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR.

AND AND THE SURVEY RESULTS DIDN'T REALLY COME POSITIVE ENOUGH TO, TO SELECT ONE OF THE PIECES.

OKAY. THANK YOU. NOW WE'LL DISCUSS 3.20.

DO WE NEED A OR DO WE NEED TO DO SEPARATELY APPROVE.

OH CAN I GET A MOTION TO APPROVE ITEM 3.06 PLEASE.

CAN I GET A SECOND.

SECOND. THANK YOU.

ITEM PASSES THEN.

[3.20 REVISED: Conference Requests for Travel Outside the United States - Ghana, Africa]

THE NEXT ITEM IS 3.20.

YEAH. FOR THAT ONE, I JUST WANTED TO PULL IT TO MENTION THAT I'M JUST REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS ENDEAVOR FOR TRUSTEES SALAZAR AND GREEN, AS WELL AS DIRECTOR FIERO AND, AND OTHER REPRESENTATIVES OF THE COLLEGE.

AS SOMEBODY WHO'S USED TO LIVE IN AFRICA, I FEEL LIKE THIS TYPE OF ENGAGEMENT IS REALLY IMPORTANT.

BOTH ON THE AMERICAN SIDE, BUT ALSO ON THE AFRICAN SIDE.

AND THE FACT THAT THIS IS THIS CONFERENCE IS BEING HELD ACROSS THE POND, SO TO SPEAK.

IS IS A REALLY I THINK, VERY APPROPRIATE.

AND I JUST WANT TO VOICE MY ENTHUSIASM FOR, FOR PASSING THIS ITEM.

THANK YOU. DOCTOR.

I ALSO SUBMIT MY NAME FOR THIS TRIP, AND I JUST DIDN'T SEE MY NAME HERE.

DO WE NEED TO ADD DOCTOR LIU? THANK YOU. ANYONE ELSE WANT TO JOIN? AND NOT.

NOT TODAY. BUT I DO HAVE A QUESTION, THOUGH.

GENERALLY ON THE USE OF THE INNOVATION FUND.

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY OTHER EXPENDITURES OF THE INNOVATION FUND IN THE RECENT YEARS OR MONTHS? YES. LAST YEAR WE INVESTED IN COURSE LEAF, WHICH IS A WAY TO SUBMIT SYLLABI, CROSS CAMPUS REVIEW SYLLABI, CONSISTENCY OF THAT.

SO THE SEED MONEY FOR THAT PROJECT AND THE INITIAL IMPLEMENTATION WAS REQUESTED THROUGH ACADEMIC AFFAIRS, AND

[00:55:01]

THEY GOT A PATHWAYS TEAM.

SO WE FUNDED THAT.

AND THE ONGOING OBVIOUSLY WILL BECOME PART OF PRIORITIZATION AND BUDGET REQUEST.

AND PRIOR TO THAT, THE EXCELENCIA THE EXCELENCIA WORKSHOPS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE SUBMISSION OF, OF APPLICATION OR DATA POOLS AND SO ON.

ALSO HAVE BEEN PART OF THIS INNOVATION FUNDS AND THE PREVIOUS EXPENSE FROM EXCELENCIA WAS OR REBRANDING EFFORTS. SO IT'S NOT VERY FREQUENTLY IN THE LAST FEW YEARS.

THAT'S AND THAT'S FINE.

SO I RECALL IT'S BEEN QUITE A FEW YEARS.

AT THE SAME TIME, IT'S THE THE THE ARTS FUND.

WE PUT IT ALL TOGETHER.

I RECALL IT WAS LIKE, WHAT, FIVE YEARS AGO NOW THAT WE ACTUALLY IT WAS THE FIRST, THE FIRST YEAR.

IS IT THE FIRST YEAR? YEAH.

ALMOST NINE, ALMOST NINE.

WILD. BUT WE CREATED THREE DIFFERENT YOU KNOW, FUNDS FOR THAT.

SO I'M NOT SAYING THAT WE NECESSARILY NEED TO PUT IT AS LIKE AN AGENDA ITEM, BUT I'D LIKE FOR THE RETREAT WHENEVER THAT OCCURS TO HAVE THAT AS AN AGENDA ITEM TO DISCUSS, KIND OF SOME FOCUS AS TO WHAT WE WANT TO DO WITH EACH OF THOSE FUNDS THAT WE'VE CREATED NOW, ALMOST TEN YEARS AGO.

AGAIN, WILD ON THE RECORD.

IT'S WILD. BUT THERE'S IT SEEMS LIKE THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS THAT INNOVATION HAS DONE, AND, YOU KNOW, IT HAPPENS HERE AND THERE SPORADICALLY.

AND THAT'S AND THAT'S GOOD AND ALL.

BUT YOU KNOW, WITH THE MONEY THAT WE SET ASIDE FOR EACH OF THESE DIFFERENT FUNDS, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME, YOU KNOW, KIND OF FOCUS FROM THE BOARD TO SAY, LIKE, HEY, WE'RE GOING TO USE THIS MONEY TO SPECIFICALLY TARGET THIS KIND OF INNOVATION OR THESE KINDS OF ARTS OR THIS AND THAT, SO THAT WE HAVE, YOU KNOW, SOME PROJECTION RATHER THAN LIKE, OH, YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MIGHT FUND UNDER INNOVATION, WHICH AGAIN, IS FINE.

AND I THINK IT'S THESE ARE ALL GREAT EXPENDITURES.

BUT I'D LIKE TO SEE SOME SCOPE OF A VISION.

ABSOLUTELY. YEAH, ABSOLUTELY.

THANK YOU. AND TRUSTEE.

BIRKEY, THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THIS UP.

THIS IS BEYOND A CONFERENCE.

THIS IS AN ENTIRE IMMERSION EXPERIENCE.

THE FIRST THE FIRST TIME THIS TRIP WAS PUT TOGETHER WAS LAST YEAR.

AND THE EXPERIENCE CHAIR FROM THE TRIP FOR THOSE ATTENDEES LAST YEAR WERE VERY POSITIVE.

SO WE'RE HOPING TO TO LEARN A LOT ON, ON, ON THIS PARTICULAR EXPERIENCE.

SO WE'RE TAKING A TEAM DIVERSE TEAM ACROSS THE CAMPUS TO BE PART OF THESE AND HOPEFULLY BRING SOME INFORMATION BACK THAT COULD HELP US EMBED CULTURALLY RELEVANT PRACTICES.

WAS IT IN ACCRA LAST, LAST TIME? YEAH, SAME SAME PLACE.

AND IT'S IT'S LIKE A IT'S AN INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE IN WHICH YOU GO THROUGH DIFFERENT PLACES AND YOU SPEAK WITH LOCALS. YOU PARTICIPATE IN CEREMONIES, RITUALS AND SO ON.

THEY MAKE YOU MORE CULTURALLY AWARE OF DIFFERENT PRACTICES AND THE RELEVANCE OF WHY THOSE PRACTICES CONNECT TO TO THE STUDENT BODY.

OKAY. THANK YOU. CAN I GET A MOTION TO APPROVE ITEM 3.20, PLEASE? SO MOVED. CAN I GET A SECOND? SECOND? GREAT ITEM PASSES.

AND NEXT ITEM IS INFORMATION ITEMS.

[4.01 Review of Board Policies: BP 4040, BP 4050, BP 4070]

WE WILL GROUP THEM TOGETHER.

IT'S 4.01 REVIEW OF BOARD POLICIES BP 4040, BP 4050 BP 4074 .02.

[4.02 Revised Administrative Procedures 4230]

REVISED. REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES 4234 .03.

[4.03 REVISED: First Reading Revised Board Policy 4230 titled Grading and Academic Record Symbols]

REVISED FIRST READING.

REVISED BOARD POLICY 4230, TITLED GRADING AND ACADEMIC RECORD SYMBOLS, ITEM 4.04.

[4.04 Associated Students Cerritos College (ASCC) Financial Report for the Period Ending June 30, 2023]

ASSOCIATED STUDENT CERRITOS COLLEGE FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE PERIOD ENDING JUNE 30TH, 2023 AND 4.05 DRAFT ACCREDITATION MIDTERM

[4.05 Draft Accreditation Midterm Report]

REPORT. WE WILL RECEIVE AND FILE THESE ITEMS.

[5.01 Consideration to Receive and Accept Independent Audit Report for the Cerritos Community College District for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2023]

NEXT ITEM IS ADMINISTRATIVE ITEM 5.01 CONSIDERATION TO RECEIVE AND ACCEPT INDEPENDENT AUDIT REPORT FOR THE CERRITOS COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30TH, 2023.

AND VP PHILIPPE IS GOING TO DO A SHORT PRESENTATION.

ANDREA, CAN YOU PULL UP BOARD DOCS BY CHANCE? LET'S DO.

ONE OF THE LETTERS TO THE DISTRICT.

[01:00:01]

DISTRICT, DISTRICT FIRST, AND THEN THE AUDIT REPORT I'M GOING TO DO NEXT.

ALL RIGHT. GOOD EVENING, BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

GO OVER A QUICK OVERVIEW OF OUR ANNUAL AUDIT FOR THE YEAR ENDED.

YES. WE.

FALCON BLUE. BRIAN CAN HEAR YOU.

ALL RIGHT. RYAN, CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? YES I CAN.

THANK YOU. SO I DO HAVE RYAN MILLIGAN.

HE'S A SENIOR AUDIT MANAGER FOR EIDE BAILLY WITH WITH US TO ASSIST IN THIS AND ANSWER ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS.

BUT I'M GOING TO KIND OF NAVIGATE THE CONVERSATION ALONG.

SO IN THIS BOARD ITEM THERE'S FOUR DOCUMENTS.

SO I'M GOING TO GO THROUGH EACH OF THEM FIRST.

ACTUALLY THIS IS THE BOND OVERSIGHT ONE.

CAN YOU PULL UP THE DISTRICT ONE? SO AS PART OF THE REQUIREMENTS ON THAT IS OUR AUDITORS ARE REQUIRED TO REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES WHAT THEY CALL COMMUNICATION WITH THOSE IN CHARGE OF GOVERNANCE.

AND SO THIS LETTER HERE AT THE END OF THE AUDIT OUTLINES THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AUDITORS AND OUTLINES A NUMBER OF KEY THINGS, SUCH AS PLANNED SCOPE AND TIMING OF THE AUDIT, COMPLIANCE WITH ALL ETHICAL REQUIREMENTS REGARDING INDEPENDENCE. IT OUTLINES THE DISTRICT'S SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES AND THEN MORE IMPORTANTLY, IF YOU FLIP TO PAGE THREE OF THE DOCUMENT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE ON THE BOLD, WHERE IT SAYS SIGNIFICANT DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED DURING THE AUDIT.

SO THE AUDITORS ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO REPORT ANY ISSUES THEY HAD WITH THE DISTRICT ON HERE.

AND AS YOU CAN SEE HERE, THERE WAS NO.

DIFFICULTIES IDENTIFIED UNDER THE UNCORRECTED OR CORRECTED MISSTATEMENTS.

IF YOU NOTICE THE LAST SENTENCE, THERE IS NO UNRECORDED OR CORRECTED MISSTATEMENTS IDENTIFIED DURING THE RESULT OF THE AUDIT PROCEDURES.

AND THEN UNDER THE NEXT SECTION, ANY DISAGREEMENTS WITH MANAGEMENT.

AND AGAIN, THE LAST SENTENCE, THERE WAS NO SUCH DISAGREEMENTS THAT AROSE DURING THE AUDIT.

AND SO THIS LETTER IS JUST TO PERFORM IS PROVIDED TO YOU, THE BOARD TO IDENTIFY BASICALLY FROM START TO FINISH ANY ISSUES THEY HAD DURING THE AUDIT.

AND IN THIS CASE THERE WAS NO IDENTIFIED ISSUES ON THAT.

SO THIS IS ONE OF THEIR REQUIREMENT COMMUNICATION.

TO YOU MOVING ON TO THE ACTUAL AUDIT REPORT ITSELF FOR THE DISTRICT.

THE AUDIT REPORT ITSELF IS PRETTY LENGTHY.

I'M GOING TO GO OVER SOME KEY PAGES WITH YOU AND THEN STOP AND PAUSE TO SEE.

HAVE HE HAD ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS? SO IF YOU FLIP TO PAGE ONE THAT IS THE INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S REPORT.

AND AGAIN, IT GOES THROUGH DIFFERENT SECTIONS OF THE AUDIT.

BUT I WANT TO FOCUS ON REALLY IN THE VERY FIRST OPINION, THIS IS THEIR OPINION REPORT.

AND IT SPECIFIES WHAT THEY DID.

AND IN THIS CASE THE AUDITORS HAVE AUDITED THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF THE BUSINESS TYPE ACTIVITIES OF THE DISTRICT FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30TH, 2023. AND THE RELATED NOTES OF THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANTLY SENTENCE IS UNDERNEATH THAT IT SAYS, IN OUR OPINION, THE ACCOMPANYING FINANCIAL STATEMENTS REFERRED TO ABOVE PRESENT FAIRLY IN ALL MATERIAL ASPECTS THE REPRESENTED FINANCIAL POSITION OF THE BUSINESS TYPE ACTIVITIES OF THE DISTRICT AS OF JUNE 30TH, 2023 AND ALL APPLICABLE RULES APPLICABLES AND ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES GENERALLY ACCEPTED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

SO THIS IS WHAT THEY CONSIDERED A UNMODIFIED OPINION, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS A CLEAN OPINION ON THAT.

SO THAT'S THE HIGHEST ASSURANCE ANY AUDIT FIRM CAN PROVIDE TO A CLIENT ON THAT.

SO I JUST WANT TO NOTE THAT MOVING FROM THERE, ONE OF THE KEY THINGS THAT IF ANYTHING, YOU GET OUT OF THAT, IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE DISTRICT, I ALWAYS REFER FOLKS TO WHAT THEY CALL THE MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS THAT ACTUALLY STARTS ON PAGE FIVE OF THE AUDIT REPORT, AND THAT GOES THROUGH PAGE 15. AND THAT KIND OF HIGHLIGHTS REALLY THE FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DISTRICT DURING THAT YEAR.

IT TALKS ABOUT REVENUES, EXPENDITURES, ENROLLMENTS FOR THE YEAR ALSO PROVIDES MULTI YEAR FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.

SO I ALWAYS LIKE THIS SECTION BECAUSE IT PROVIDES A GREAT PICTURE OF WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE HAPPENING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WITHOUT NECESSARILY GETTING TOO

[01:05:09]

TECHNICAL INTO THE ASPECTS OF THAT.

IF WE WANT TO MOVE FORWARD TO PAGE 16.

THAT'S WHEN WE GET TO THE FIRST FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.

THAT IS THE STATEMENT OF NET POSITION FOR THE DISTRICT.

THIS IS AGAIN, THIS IS WHAT THEY CONSIDERED ENTITY WIDE.

SO THIS IS COLLECTIVELY OF ALL OF OUR FUNDS.

AS YOU CAN SEE, WE HAVE A TOTAL TOTAL ASSETS OF ROUGHLY $787 MILLION OF TOTAL ASSETS. AND YOU CAN KIND OF SEE WHAT CATEGORIES THOSE ARE BROKEN DOWN INTO CASH INVESTMENTS.

MOST OF OUR INVESTMENTS IS WHAT THEY ARE.

OUR MONEY IS PUT WITH THE COUNTY TREASURER'S OFFICE.

SO THAT IS ACTUALLY TECHNICALLY CLASSIFIED AS AN INVESTMENT ACTIVITY.

AND THEN OUR NEXT BIGGEST ASSET IS OBVIOUSLY OUR BUILDINGS.

RIGHT. SO CAPITAL ASSETS IS A HUGE PART OF THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS ON THAT.

AND THEN IT OUTLINES LIABILITIES IN THIS CASE, OBVIOUSLY OUR HIGHEST LIABILITIES ON OUR BOOKS ARE GOING TO BE ANY OPEB LIABILITIES THAT WE HAVE, ANY BONDS THAT WE HAVE OUTSTANDING AS WELL, AND PENSION LIABILITIES ON THAT.

AND THEN IF YOU SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM A LITTLE BIT, THE NET POSITION, IT SHOWS OUR NET POSITION OVERALL AT $53.9 MILLION ON THAT. SO AGAIN I LIKE TO SAY THIS IS NOT A VERY USEFUL THIS IS REQUIREMENT REPORTING, BUT NOT REALLY USEFUL BECAUSE IT DOESN'T BREAK IT DOWN BY THE FUND STATEMENTS AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

THIS IS JUST ALL OUR FUNDS WRAPPED INTO TOGETHER AS, AS REQUIRED BY GENERALLY ACCEPTED ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES.

SOME OTHER THINGS THAT I DO WANT TO HIGHLIGHT.

I'M GOING TO SKIP OVER SOME OF THE NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS BECAUSE AGAIN, ALL THOSE DO IS JUST PROVIDE A LITTLE BIT MORE DETAIL OF EACH OF THESE NUMBERS.

BUT IF WE CAN IF WE CAN FLIP TO I LIKE TO SHOW THIS PAGE ON PAGE 65.

THIS IS OUR SCHEDULE OF EXPENDITURES OR FEDERAL AWARDS.

SO I LIKE TO OUTLINE THE TOTAL FEDERAL PROGRAMS THAT WE HAVE AND IN THIS CASE THIS YEAR ENDED JUNE 30TH OF 2023 WE SPENT $56.8 MILLION OF FEDERAL AWARDS ON THAT.

OBVIOUSLY, THE BULK OF THIS, IT WAS IN FINANCIAL AID, THE TOTAL FINANCIAL AID THAT WE DISBURSED OUT TO STUDENTS WAS $38.8 MILLION IN THAT FISCAL YEAR.

SO A LOT OF FINANCIAL ACTIVITY GOING ON IN THESE PROGRAMS. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST MY FAVORITE PAGE.

IF YOU WANT TO FLIP TO PAGE 87 OF THE REPORT, THIS IS THE SUMMARY OF THE AUDITOR'S RESULTS.

I LIKE THIS PAGE BECAUSE THIS ONE PAGE TELLS YOU EVERYTHING THAT THAT HAS HAPPENED ALL IN ONE PAGE, INSTEAD OF GOING THROUGH EACH OF THE ACTUAL AUDIT OPINIONS ITSELF.

SO AS I MENTIONED BEFORE, THAT VERY FIRST OPINION I WROTE I MENTIONED IT WAS AN UNMODIFIED OPINION.

SO THERE IT IS ON THE VERY TOP.

ALSO OUTLINES THEY ALSO DO INTERNAL CONTROLS OVER FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND THEN WHETHER OR NOT THEY IDENTIFIED ANY MATERIAL WEAKNESSES OR SIGNIFICANT DEFICIENCIES. AND AS YOU CAN SEE THAT NONE WAS NOTED.

ALSO, THERE WAS NONE NO NONCOMPLIANCE.

NOTED ALSO IN THE IN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS UNDER FEDERAL AWARDS.

THIS PAGE IDENTIFIES WHICH FEDERAL AWARDS THEY AUDITED.

AND IN THIS CASE, THEY AUDITED TWO PROGRAMS ONE BEING FINANCIAL AID, OBVIOUSLY BEING THE LARGEST PROGRAM WE HAVE, AND THE OTHER ONE ARE HALF DOLLARS RELATED TO OUR COVID 19 GRANTS ON THAT.

SO UNDER THOSE PROGRAMS THEY AUDITED AGAIN, THEY FOUND NO MATERIAL WEAKNESSES OR SIGNIFICANT, SIGNIFICANT DEFICIENCIES WERE IDENTIFIED. AGAIN, THAT AUDIT OPINION WAS UNMODIFIED, WHICH AGAIN IS A CLEAN OPINION.

AND THERE WAS NO AUDIT FINDINGS NOTED HERE AS WELL.

AND THE LAST OPINION THEY DO IS UNDER STATE COMPLIANCE.

STATE CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE ON AN ANNUAL BASIS, RELEASES WHAT THEY CALL THE DISTRICT CONTRACTED AUDIT MANUAL THAT SPECIFIES A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT PROGRAMS THAT THE AUDITORS ARE REQUIRED TO OPINE ON.

AND AND IN THIS CASE THEY ALSO HAD AN UNMODIFIED OPINION ON STATE COMPLIANCE.

AGAIN BEING ANOTHER CLEAN AUDIT.

AND IF YOU WANT TO FLIP TO THE NEXT PAGE OF THIS AUDIT THIS GO TO THE TOP.

YOU WENT TOO FAST.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE ONE.

TWO THINGS SAID IT SAYS ANY AUDIT FINDINGS AND IT SAYS NONE REPORTED.

[01:10:03]

SO AS YOU CAN SEE, THERE IS NO AUDIT FINDINGS REPORTED IN THIS AUDIT.

AND BOTH OF THESE, IT SHOWS CURRENT YEAR AND THEN ALSO PRIOR YEAR, OBVIOUSLY WE HAD NO PRIOR YEAR FINDINGS AS WELL.

SO NONE WERE REPORTED THERE AS WELL.

SO SO THAT'S OUR DISTRICT AUDIT.

SO ANY BOARD MEMBERS HAVE ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE I TRANSITION TO THE BOND AUDIT I'LL SAY CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS ONE.

AND THEN I'LL SAY IT AGAIN ON THE NEXT ONE.

THANK YOU. I APPRECIATE THAT.

TRUSTEE BIRKEY. THIS IS TRULY A TEAM EFFORT.

THIS IS NOT A111 MAN THING.

SO I DO APPRECIATE MY TEAM.

I'D LIKE TO GIVE KUDOS TO OUR DIRECTOR OF FISCAL, ALI AND HIS TEAM AND THEN THE ENTIRE CAMPUS, BECAUSE, AGAIN, THIS SPREADS ACROSS MULTIPLE DIVISIONS AND DEPARTMENTS ON THAT. SO KUDOS TO EVERYONE ON A JOB WELL DONE.

ON, ON ON THIS YEAR'S AUDIT.

SO MOVING ON.

WE HAVE AN IDENTICAL LETTER RELATED TO THE BOND.

SO I'M NOT GOING TO GO INTO THIS DETAIL BECAUSE IT'S BASICALLY VERBATIM OF THE SAME LETTER I SHARED WITH YOU, BUT IT'S THE REQUIRED COMMUNICATION TO THOSE IN CHARGE OF GOVERNANCE. AND THEN AND THEN THIS IS THIS REPORT IS BOTH A FINANCIAL REPORT AND A PERFORMANCE REPORT, AS REQUIRED BY LAW OF OUR MEASURE G WHICH IS OUR ONLY CURRENT BOND MEASURE THAT WE HAD ACTIVE DURING 2023.

SO THE FIRST PART, I'LL GO OVER THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AGAIN.

HERE'S THE TITLE PAGE OF EVERYTHING IN THE REPORT.

IF WE WANT TO FLIP TO THE FIRST PAGE, I WANT YOU TO FOCUS UNDER THE BOLD OPINION.

THE SECOND PARAGRAPH.

THIS IS THE GIST OF THE OPINION.

AND HERE IT SAYS, IN OUR OPINION, THE COMPANY FINANCIAL STATEMENTS REFERRED TO ABOVE PRESENT FAIRLY IN ALL MATERIAL ASPECTS THE FINANCIAL POSITION OF THE BOND FUND, I.E. MEASURE G OF THE DISTRICT AS OF JUNE 30TH.

AND WE ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH WITH ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES GENERALLY ACCEPTED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

AGAIN, THIS IS WHAT THEY CONSIDERED AN UNMODIFIED OPINION, A CLEAN OPINION, WHICH MEANS THERE IS NO MODIFICATIONS DONE TO THAT.

SO THE HIGHEST ASSURANCE, AGAIN AN AUDIT FIRM CAN PROVIDE US IF YOU WANT TO FLIP TO PAGE FOUR.

THIS IS THE BALANCE SHEET OF THE BOND FUND.

AND AGAIN, AT THE END OF THE JUNE 30TH, 23, WE HAD ROUGHLY $49.7 MILLION.

OBVIOUSLY, THE BULK OF THIS IS SITTING IN THE COUNTY TREASURIES.

ON THAT TOTAL LIABILITIES, OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OF $4.5 MILLION.

SO THIS IS LIKELY JUST ALL OF OUR JUNE PAYMENTS THAT WE RECEIVED.

OBVIOUSLY, WE HAD TO BOOK THEM AS A LIABILITY BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T PROCESSED UNTIL AFTER YOU'RE ENCLOSED OR YOU'RE IN THAT YEAR END DATE.

AND THEN OUR FUND BALANCE AT THE END OF THE YEAR WAS WHICH MEANS WHAT WE HAD AVAILABLE OF CASH IS $45.1 MILLION. SO REALLY SIMPLE FINANCIAL STATEMENT.

THE NEXT PAGE IS OUR STATEMENT OF REVENUES, EXPENDITURES AND CHANGES IN FUND BALANCE.

THERE AS YOU CAN SEE INTEREST INCOME BY WE'RE ALSO REQUIRED TO RECORD A CHANGE IN FAIR MARKET VALUE WITHIN THE INVESTMENTS BECAUSE, AGAIN, THE INVESTMENTS ARE RECORDED IN THE COUNTY TREASURER'S OFFICE.

THE BOND SPENT $24.9 MILLION LAST YEAR IN BOND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS WHICH THEN AGAIN, LED US TO THE ENDING BALANCE.

BEGAN THE YEAR AT $67.6 MILLION OF FUND BALANCE AND THE END OF THE YEAR AT 45.1.

SO WHAT I DON'T SEE IN HERE IS THE FENCES COVERING THE PARKING LOT.

SO THAT WAS AFTER THAT WAS AFTER JUNE 30TH, 2023.

SO BUT IT LIKELY WILL BE IN THE NEXT, NEXT ONE FOR YOU.

SO. AGAIN THE NEXT PAGES ARE, ARE A NOTES OF THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, WHICH I'M NOT GOING TO TOUCH UPON. BUT THEN I'M GOING TO GO TO THE NEXT OPINION LETTER THAT'S ON PAGE TEN AND 11 REAL QUICK.

AND AGAIN, ON PAGE 11 FOCUSING ON NEXT PAGE REAL QUICK.

ON THE REPORT ON COMPLIANCE AND OTHER MATTERS.

THE LAST SENTENCE.

THE RESULTS OF OF OUR TESTS DISCLOSED NO INCIDENCES OF NONCOMPLIANCE OR OTHER MATTERS THAT REQUIRED TO BE REPORTED UNDER GOVERNMENTAL AUDITING STANDARDS. SO AGAIN, REFLECTING A NO AUDIT FINDINGS AND A CLEAN REPORT.

SO SO THAT IS THE FINANCIAL PIECE OF IT.

[01:15:03]

NOW IF YOU KEEP SCROLLING THEN WE'RE GOING TO TRANSITION INTO THE PERFORMANCE AUDITS.

AND THIS OPINION IS A SET UP A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT.

ON THAT BECAUSE IT LOOKS AT PARTICULAR ITEMS. ON ON THAT.

SO WHAT I WANT TO DO IS GO THROUGH THE METHOD IF YOU FLIP TO THE NEXT PAGE.

ONE MORE. YES.

RIGHT THERE. SO LOOKING AT NUMBER THREE.

SO I JUST WANTED TO SHOW YOU HOW MUCH THAT WAS ACTUALLY TRANSACTIONS THAT WERE ACTUALLY AUDITED.

OF THE $24.9 MILLION OF EXPENDITURES THAT WE EXPEND, THE AUDITORS TESTED 21.3 MILLION OF IT WHICH REPRESENTS 86% OF THE TRANSACTIONS THAT WERE BOND RELATED WERE AUDITED ON THAT.

SO A VERY HIGH PERCENTAGE ON THAT.

AND EACH OF THOSE WERE FOUND TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS AND REGULATIONS RELATED TO THE BOND FUND.

AND I THINK THAT IS IT.

SO, RYAN, I DON'T KNOW IF I MISSED ANYTHING.

IF YOU WANTED TO CHIME IN AND ADD YOUR FINAL THOUGHTS ON IT.

BUT OTHER THAN THAT, I SHOULD SAY YOUR PRESENTATION WOULD HAVE BEEN ALMOST WORD FOR WORD WHAT I WOULD HAVE SAID.

THE ONE THING I DO WANT TO ECHO WHAT PHILIPPE SAID IS IT'S EASY TO THINK THIS IS JUST A FISCAL AUDIT.

IT REALLY ISN'T. THIS IS A DISTRICT AUDIT, AND THERE'S NO WAY WE WOULD BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE AUDIT TIMELY IF WE DIDN'T HAVE THE FULL COOPERATION OF IT.

HR, STUDENT SERVICES, ACADEMIC FINANCIAL AID, MRS AND RECORDS DSPS.

AND I KNOW I'M LEAVING A BUNCH OF DEPARTMENTS OUT THAT WE BUG ON AN ANNUAL BASIS, BUT IT'S REALLY A DISTRICT WIDE EFFORT.

AND I MEAN, THEY SHOULD ALL BE APPLAUDED.

MY ONE LAST QUESTION IS, OKAY, SO FELIPE, HOW MANY YEARS IN A ROW HAVE WE HAD UNMODIFIED OPINIONS? YOU KNOW, I DON'T KNOW THAT OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD I CAN TELL YOU, THE LAST SEVEN YEARS SINCE I'VE BEEN HERE, THERE HAVE BEEN UNMODIFIED OPINIONS PRIOR TO MY EXISTENCE, I DON'T KNOW, I WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE TO GO BACK AND LOOK AT THAT THERE.

IT'S VERY RARE THAT YOU ACTUALLY GET AN UNMODIFIED WHEN YOU START MODIFYING THE OPINION.

IN SOME CASES, YOU STILL COULD HAVE A UNMODIFIED OPINION WITH SOME SIGNIFICANT DEFICIENCIES NOTED.

ON THAT BUT I DON'T KNOW, RYAN, IF, YOU KNOW, IF, IF MOST OF THE ONES ARE UNMODIFIED, BUT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN OCCASIONS WHERE WE DID HAVE SOME AUDIT FINDINGS IN SOME CASES IN PAST HISTORY THAT I DO KNOW THAT WE DID.

WE'VE HAD SOME AUDIT FINDINGS IN THE PAST, FINDINGS MAYBE 3 OR 4 YEARS AGO, BUT WE HAVEN'T HAD IT.

YEAH, WE HAVEN'T HAD IT RECENTLY.

AND I CHALK IT UP IS AUDIT FINDING DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE DOING ANYTHING, YOU KNOW, NECESSARILY WRONG.

IT'S SOMETIMES THINGS YOU KNOW, MISS THROUGH OR GET THROUGH THE CRACKS.

AND IT'S AN OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO REFRESH OUR PROCEDURES AND IDENTIFY, HEY, WHAT CAN WE DO BETTER TO MAKE SURE THAT WE CAN PREVENT SOME OF THESE THINGS FROM KIND OF, YOU KNOW, SLIPPING THROUGH THE CRACKS AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

SO I DON'T ALWAYS, YOU KNOW, KNOCK ON, YOU KNOW, AUDIT FINDINGS OR BAD BECAUSE THEY'RE THEY'RE ACTUALLY GOOD BECAUSE IT PROVIDES DEPARTMENTS AND PROVIDES ME THE ABILITY TO REHONE SOME OF THOSE PROCESSES AND REEVALUATE THINGS IN A DIFFERENT WAY.

SO, RYAN, DO YOU GET BORED WITH DOING OUR WORK? NO, ACTUALLY, I ENJOY IT VERY MUCH.

I SAID, EVERYONE AT THE DISTRICT IS JUST AMAZING TO WORK WITH.

THEY MAKE MY JOB EASIER, SO I WISH ALL MY CLIENTS WERE CERRITOS.

ALL RIGHT, WELL HOPEFULLY WE'LL GET TO HAVE YOU BACK SOON.

SOUNDS GOOD TO ME.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME.

CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN.

GOOD WORK.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? COMMENTS? HEARING NONE.

THANK YOU, PHILIPPE, FOR THAT.

AND THE LAST ITEM WE HAVE IS 6.01 REPORTS AND COMMENTS FROM DISTRICT OFFICIALS.

WE WE NEED A MOTION TO.

OH, I'M SORRY. WE NEED A OKAY.

YES. SO WE NEED TO WE NEED A MOTION TO APPROVE ITEM 5.01.

SO MOVED. SECOND.

OKAY. IT IS.

IT PASSES.

NOW WE CAN MOVE ON TO A REPORTS AND COMMENTS FROM DISTRICT OFFICIALS.

[6.01 Reports and Comments from District Officials]

SO THAT'S ALL THAT I HAVE.

THANK YOU. TRUSTEE GREEN TRUSTEE PEREZ.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

YES, DEFINITELY. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

WELCOME BACK. WELCOME BACK TO ALL OUR STUDENTS.

I WANTED JUST TO FIRST ACKNOWLEDGE HOW BEAUTIFUL THE FACILITIES AND THE GROUNDS.

AND I JUST REALLY LIKED IT.

IT LOOKED REALLY BEAUTIFUL. SO I THOUGHT THE CAMPUS WAS LOOKING WONDERFUL.

LOTS OF EXCITEMENT, ALL IN OUR COMMUNITY ABOUT OUR OUR EMPTY SPOT.

RIGHT NOW IT'S VERY VISIBLE AND I THINK EVERYONE IS VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT.

AND WHEN I TALK TO OUR RESIDENTS AND OUR, YOU KNOW, NEIGHBORS AND TELL THEM ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT'S GOING TO BE IN THE NEW STUDENT ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING, THEY'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT ALL THESE WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR STUDENTS.

I NEED TO AGAIN ACKNOWLEDGE, YOU KNOW, COLLEEN FOR EVERYTHING SHE DID AND ALL OF HER TEAM TO PUT TOGETHER, IT WAS A REALLY A WONDERFUL NIGHT.

AND DOCTOR FARROW LED THE SPANISH PRESENTATION IN ANOTHER ROOM TO OUR FAMILY MEMBERS WHO YOU KNOW, WANTED TO HAVE THE PRESENTATION IN SPANISH.

SO, AGAIN, I JUST WANTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT, TOO, BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS REALLY WELL ATTENDED AND A LOT OF REALLY GOOD QUESTIONS AND A LOT OF GREAT INTEREST FROM SO MANY OF OUR FAMILIES IN OUR AREA.

SO IT WAS REALLY EXCITING.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

[01:25:01]

TRUSTEE PEREZ. TRUSTEE BIRKEY.

YES. ALSO, WELCOME BACK AFTER THE HOLIDAY FOR EVERYONE.

AND I WANT TO ECHO TRUSTEE PEREZ IN HOW EXCITING IT IS TO NOT BE ABLE TO PARK IN THAT SPOT ANYMORE.

BECAUSE THAT MEANS GREAT THINGS ARE AFOOT.

AND AND I JUST REALLY WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY AGAIN FOR THEIR SUPPORT REALLY BUILDING OUR CAMPUS TO BE READY FOR NOT ONLY THIS GENERATION, BUT FOR MANY GENERATIONS TO COME.

SO HUGE ASSET.

AND THEN IN TERMS OF REPORT I HAD THE HONOR OF ATTENDING THE OUTGOING MAYOR CEREMONY FOR THREE TIME MAYOR SONNY SANCHEZ IN BELLFLOWER.

AND WE WELCOME NOW FIVE TIME MAYOR DAN COOPS AS MAYOR OF BELLFLOWER.

SO CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH OF THEM.

THE FIRST ONE, PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR.

MARCH 1ST IS OUR RETREAT OF STUDENT FIRST FRAMEWORK.

SO PLEASE, IF YOU CAN, FEEL FREE TO COME.

WE ARE HOPING WE HAVE A BET WITH FRANK, AND APPARENTLY HE'S GOING TO BUY US DONUTS AND PIZZA FOR THE YEAR IF WE DON'T MAKE 150 ATTENDEES TO THE RETREAT.

SO IF HE IF HE IF YOU GO, OBVIOUSLY WE'LL GET NO DONUTS OR PIZZA, BUT IF YOU DO GO, WE'LL GET A LOT OF FEEDBACK WHICH IS WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR.

SO WE'RE HOPING TO GET AS MUCH PARTICIPATION OF CAMPUS AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE THIS IS GOING TO GUIDE OUR PLANNING AND OUR DIRECTION OVER THE NEXT TWO, FIVE YEAR CYCLES.

AND I SAID TWO, FIVE YEAR CYCLES.

INTENTIONAL. I KNOW IT'S TEN YEARS, BUT THERE IS SOME LAYERING THAT IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE AT THAT POINT TO GET US TO THE TEN YEAR.

THE NEXT PROBABLY GOING TO ANSWER A QUESTION THAT IS IN YOUR MIND.

WHO IS THIS PERSON TAKING PICTURES OF US TODAY? SO I'D LIKE TO INTRODUCE CHELSEA.

CHELSEA CAME TO US ON JUNE, JANUARY 16TH, NOT JUNE, JANUARY 16TH.

AND SHE COMES FROM NORTH NORTH ORANGE COUNTY.

AND SHE IS OUR NEW PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER.

LIKE TO SAY ANYTHING, CHELSEA.

GOOD EVENING, BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

I REALLY JUST WANT TO THANK YOU ALL FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN THE CERRITOS COLLEGE FAMILY.

AS DOCTOR TIERRA MENTIONED, IT'S MY SECOND WEEK, SO I HAVE RECEIVED A VERY WARM WELCOME FROM EVERYONE AND I'M STARTING TO FEEL AT HOME.

AND PRIOR TO THIS, JUST A LITTLE BACKGROUND, I WAS WITH THE NORTH ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT FOR ALMOST A DECADE, AND I STARTED FIRST IN CAMPUS COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE NONCREDIT INSTITUTION OF NORTH ORANGE CONTINUING EDUCATION, AND THEN IN THE DISTRICT OFFICE OF PUBLIC AND GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS.

SO I REALLY LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW YOU AND WORKING WITH YOU.

THANK YOU. CHELSEA.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I WANT TO RECOGNIZE OR LCP'S.

WHEN WHEN TRUSTEE SALAZAR MENTIONED.

WHAT ARE WE GETTING? CREATIVITY AND ALL THAT IN THE DIRECTION WE'RE TAKING.

IT COMES FROM A LOT OF CONVERSATION THAT IS TAKING PLACE ACROSS CAMPUS.

AND ONE OF THE GROUPS THAT HAS BEEN VERY ACTIVE ON THIS IS OUR LCP GROUP.

SO WE HAVE A COUPLE OF MEMBERS OF THAT GROUP TAKING A MORE ACTIVE ROLE IN OR STUDENT FIRST FRAMEWORK.

AND THOSE TWO MEMBERS, ONE IS A COUNSELOR, TRACY ROKITA, AND THE OTHER ONE IS A CLASSROOM FACULTY.

ANGELA HOEFNAGEL.

AND WITH THEIR HELP AND THE HELP OF MANY OTHER ON CAMPUS, WE HAVE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF CONVERSATIONS.

I WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO RECOGNIZE EVERYONE IN THE LCP TEAMS, EVERYONE IN THE DIFFERENT FACULTY AND STAFF GROUPS BECAUSE THE BEAUTY OF THIS PROCESS IS THE EVERY CONSTITUENT ON CAMPUS IS GETTING ENGAGED.

THE LAST THANK YOU I WANT TO PROVIDE IS TO THE ENTIRE CERRITOS COLLEGE CAMPUS FOR MAKING A VERY SMOOTH TRANSITION TO THIS SEMESTER.

WE STARTED WITH A LOT OF MOMENTUM, AND THINGS SEEM TO BE GOING PRETTY WELL.

AND OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE TO RECOGNIZE THE PATIENCE OF EVERYONE WITH THE PARKING SITUATION.

EVERYONE HAS BEEN PRETTY GRACIOUS AND PROVIDING CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK FOR US TO BE ABLE TO IMPROVE OUR TRANSIT AND CIRCULATION PATTERNS.

SO THAT IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

AND AS TRUSTEE BIRKEY SAID, THE THERE IS A A LONGER DISTANCE TO WALK BECAUSE WE CAN NO LONGER PARK HERE AT FRONT.

[01:30:05]

BUT PLEASE DO REMEMBER THAT IS THE BENEFIT OF THAT BUILDING PROVIDING ALL OF THE STUDENTS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE MAIN SERVICES IN ONE PLACE.

SO IN A COUPLE OF YEARS, GONE WILL BE THE DAYS IN WHICH ALL THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE TO TRAVEL ACROSS MULTIPLE OFFICES ACROSS THE ENTIRE CAMPUS TO GET WHAT WE NEED.

EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE CENTRALIZED IN ONE LOCATION, WHICH WE'RE HOPING THAT THAT WILL MAKE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE.

SO. SO IT'S A LITTLE SHORT TERM SACRIFICE FOR LONG TERM GAINS.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU, DOCTOR FIERRO.

I WANTED TO THANK THE PRESIDENT'S OFFICE FOR THEIR SPEEDINESS AND WILLINGNESS TO WORK WITH WITH OUR TRUSTEES.

RIGHT BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS THERE WAS A REQUEST FOR A QUICK CERTIFICATE TO BE PRESENTED TO DOWNEY, INCOMING MAYOR MAYOR MARIO TRUJILLO AND THE OUTGOING MAYOR CLAUDIA FROMETA.

AND IT WAS THEY WERE CREATED IN A SPEEDY WAY, AND WE WERE ABLE TO PRESENT TO MARIO AND TO CLAUDIA FROMETA AND TRUSTEE PACHECO TRUSTEE GREEN AND MYSELF WERE IN ATTENDANCE, AND WE WERE ABLE TO REPRESENT THE COLLEGE, SO WANTED TO THANK THE OFFICE FOR FOR HELPING US WITH THAT AND MAKING THAT HAPPEN. AND THAT IS IT.
