AS YOU WILL HEAR TONIGHT FROM THE FACULTY OF CERRITOS COLLEGE, THROUGH ITS FACULTY

SENATE AND THE MANY COMMITTEES THAT DO THE WORK OF THE SENATE, WHO CONTINUE TO WORK PROFESSIONALLY AND EFFECTIVELY ONE YEAR INTO THE COVID PANDEMIC, COMMITTEES SUCH AS THE SABBATICAL LEAVE COMMITTEE UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF PROFESSOR JULIE DAVIS.

THEY HAVE WORKED HARD TO PROMOTE THE ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COLLEAGUES TO ENSURE THAT CERRITOS COLLEGE FACULTY CONTINUE TO LEARN AND TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE HONOR OF THE COLLEGE, IT STUDENT AND THE COMMUNITIES THAT WE SERVE.

THE SENATE IS CONTINUING TO WORK IN THE AREAS OF FACULTY SERVICE AREAS TO ENSURE THAT ALL FACULTY HIRED AT THE COLLEGE ARE CORRECTLY RECOGNIZED TO TEACH IN THE AREAS OF THEIR EDUCATION EXPERTISE.

I WOULD LIKE TO ESPECIALLY RECOGNIZE THE LEADERSHIP OF SENATOR TIM WHO TIA AND A PROFESSOR APRIL BACCA MONTES IN THIS AREA.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO GIVE A SHOUT-OUT TO PROFESSOR NICK MATTHEWS WHO IS LEADING THE SENATE HIRING STANDARDS COMMITTEE, DOING IMPORTANT WORK THAT WILL HELP ENSURE THAT THE COLLEGE WILL CONTINUE TO HIRE THE BEST FACULTY AVAILABLE TO JOIN US AT CERRITOS COLLEGE.

AND FINALLY, I AM FORTUNATE TO WORK WITH CAMPUS LEADERS REPRESENTING THE CSEA AND TONIGHT AND WANT TO GIVE A SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF IT HAS HAPPENED YET.

I WANT TO GIVE A SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO HER LINDA LOPEZ, MY COLLEAGUE, THE FIRST LATINA PRESIDENT AS FAR AS I KNOW OF THE CSEA IN THE HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE.

I THINK THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WE NEED TO RECOGNIZE AS WE CONTINUE TO MAKE TREMENDOUS STRIDES AND INROADS INTO PROMOTING DIVERSITY AND EQUITY AT CERRITOS COLLEGE.

AND OF COURSE TO MY COLLEGE LYNN WANG, ALWAYS MY GOOD BUDDY.

A LOT OF PRESIDENTS ON THIS CAMPUS, AREN'T THERE? LYNN AND I AND THE CC FF AND THE FACULTY SENATE CONTINUE TO COLLABORATE AND WORK VERY CLOSELY DURING THESE TIMES AS WE CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE IN OUR RESPECTIVE CAPACITIES FOR OUR CONSTITUENT GROUPS.

TRUSTEES, CC FF WOULD LIKE YOU TO BE AWARE OF SOME OF THE CHALLENGES THE FEDERATION IS EXPERIENCING WHEN REQUESTING ACCESS TO INFORMATION FOR OUR UNIT MEMBERS WHO ARE UNDER DISCIPLINARY AND/OR TITLE IX INVESTIGATION.

MORE RECENTLY, THE DISTRICT HAS MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE FEDERATION TO REPRESENT OUR BARGAINING UNION MEMBERS.

FURTHERMORE, THE DISTRICT HAS IMPOSED A QUOTE UNQUOTE INTERIM TITLE IX POLICY WITHOUT ASKING FOR INPUT FROM THE FEDERATION.

THIS INTERIM POLICY WAS ADOPTED ON AUGUST 14, 2020, WHICH WAS THE FRIDAY BEFORE ACADEMIC YEAR OFFICIALLY STARTED.

SINCE THIS POLICY WAS ADOPTED BEFORE THE FALL SEMESTER, MOST OF THE FACULTY WERE NOT ON CAMPUS.

THEREFORE, FACULTY INCLUDING CC FF WERE NOT GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON SUCH POLICY.

THE FEDERATION DEMANDED TO BARGAIN OVER THE IMPACTS ON FACULTY OVER THIS NEW POLICY AS EARLY AS OCTOBER OF 2020.

HOWEVER, THE DISTRICT REFUSED.

CC FF WOULD LIKE TO ADD THE FOLLOWING LANGUAGE TO THE INTERIM TITLE IX POLICY:

ONE, TO PROVIDE NOTICE -- >> SPEAKER: ARE WE NEGOTIATING HERE OR ARE YOU PROVIDING PUBLIC COMMENTS? NEGOTIATION SHOULD BE DONE IN THE NEGOTIATION TABLE.

THE REASONS WHY CC FF WOULD LIKE THIS LANGUAGE INCLUDED IN THIS POLICY IS BECAUSE THE DISTRICT IS REFUSING TO ALLOW FEDERATION INFORMATION ABOUT THE DISTRICT PENDING INVESTIGATION INVOLVING FACULTY, WHICH IS UNLAWFUL PERCENT -- PREVENTING THE ADVANCING ITS MEMBERS REPRESENTATION.

IN THE INTEREST OF PROMOTING HARMONIOUS LABOR RELATIONS, CC FF ENCOURAGES THE DISTRICT TO CONSIDER OUR FEEDBACK FOR THE INTERIM TITLE IX POLICY POSTED ON THE CERRITOS COLLEGE WEBSITE.

WITH THAT, DR. FIERRO, IS THERE ANY INTRODUCTION YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE BEFORE JULIE INTRODUCES OUR SABBATICAL LEAVE REPORT?

FOR EMBRACING THESE NEW TRADITIONS, THIS NEW TRADITION IS JUST A FEW YEARS OLD BUT IT HAS BECOME A -- A STRONG WAY TO SHOWCASE THE WORK THAT OUR FACULTY HAVE BEEN DOING DURING THEIR SABBATICALS.

WE HAVE LEARNED QUITE A BIT OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS ABOUT THE WORK THAT HAS BEEN DONE AND WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BRAG ABOUT SOME OF THAT WORK.

I KNOW SOME HAVE ACTUALLY ADOPTED SOME OF THOSE, SOME OF THE WORK THAT HAS BEEN DONE IN THEIR PRESENTATIONS, AND OTHERS IN THEIR PERSONAL LIFE.

I KNOW OF ONE THAT IS USED A GUIDE TO GO FOR EXPLORATION OF THE LAND AND I KNOW ANOTHER ONE THAT GOES AND TALKS ABOUT CERRITOS COLLEGE FACULTY PERFORMING WORK THAT IS AT THE SAME LEVEL THAT YOU WILL SEE AT OTHER COMPREHENSIVE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.

SO THIS HAS BECOME VERY QUICKLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEETINGS AND FAVORITE NEW PRACTICES AT CERRITOS COLLEGE WHERE WE GET TO SEE THE WORK THAT GETS DONE BEHIND THE SCENES.

WITHOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REALLY LEARN ABOUT IT.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE FOCUS OF THE WORK IS TAKING PLACE ON THE SABBATICALS OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS, IT IS CLEARLY FOCUSED ON THE STUDENTS AND THE IMPROVEMENTS OF THE INSTITUTION AND EXPERIENCE IN THE CLASSROOM.

IT WAS CERTAINLY A PLEASURE FOR THE COMMITTEE AND I TO READ THE REPORTS COMING BACK THIS YEAR.

IT ALLOWED ME TO DO MATH FOR A YEAR INSTEAD OF HAVING ALL OF THEIR OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES OF TEACHING.

I LOVE MATHEMATICS, I HAVE MY WHOLE LIFE, BUT OFTEN YOU GET STUCK DOING THINGS THAT YOU WOULD RATHER NOT DO AND YOU CAN'T DO WHICH WOULD LIKE TO DO.

SO THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY.

IN MY SABBATICAL LEAVE, I EDUCATED MYSELF BY TAKING THREE SEPARATE PHYSICS CLASSES TO HELP ME BETTER UNDERSTAND MY MULTIVARIABLE CALCULUS CLASSES AND THE PHYSICS PART OF THOSE CLASSES.

BUT THE MAJORITY OF MY SABBATICAL WAS USED BY CREATING ANIMATIONS TO SHOW SOME OF THE THEOREMS AND STUFF ABOUT CALCULUS SEQUENCE.

THE FIRST TWO SEMESTERS, OR THE FIRST SEMESTERS OF CALCULUS ARE JUST REGULAR OLD CALCULUS WHICH IS DONE IN TWO DIMENSIONS.

THE THIRD SEMESTER IS MULTIVARIABLE CALCULUS WHICH IS DONE IN THREE DIMENSIONS.

I CREATED A BUNCH OF ANIMATIONS THAT I HAVE SINCE SHARED WITH THE FACULTY MEMBERS AT CERRITOS COLLEGE BY PUTTING THEM ON A MAP RESOURCES PAGE IN OUR CANVAS SITE AS A MATH DEPARTMENT.

LAST WEEK ON FRIDAY I LED A TWO HOUR WORKSHOP FOR OUR FACULTY AND FOR THE MATH CLUB MEMBERS AT CERRITOS COLLEGE TO INTRODUCE THEM TO SOME OF MY ANIMATIONS.

THIS COMING SATURDAY I AM GOING TO BE PRESENTING AT THE LOCAL CALIFORNIA MATHEMATICS COUNSEL FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGES CONFERENCE.

I WILL BE GIVING A ONE HOUR PRESENTATION THERE AND THEN IN THE FALL I AM GOING TO BE PRESENTING AT A STATEWIDE CONFERENCE.

IT WILL BE A VIRTUAL CONFERENCE BUT I WILL BE SHARING WITH THE TEACHERS FROM THROUGHOUT THE STATE.

FOR THE REMAINDER OF MY TIME, I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE SOME OF THE GRAPHS AND ANIMATIONS.

I WILL BE SHARING TWO DIFFERENT ANIMATIONS WITH YOU.

THIS IS THE FIRST ANIMATION WHICH IS FROM CALCULUS ONE.

IT IS NUMBER 23 ON PAGE 27 OF THE APPENDIX IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.

IN CALCULUS, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE DO IS WE USE A RELATED RATE PROBLEM.

THERE IS A PROBLEM SOMEBODY IS CLIMBING A LADDER AND THE BASE OF THE LADDER FALLS AWAY FROM THE BASE OF THE WALL AND THE PERSON FALLS DOWN AND THE QUESTION IS, HOW FAST IS HE FALLING AND THAT SORT OF THING.

IF YOU NOTICE, IN THE RIGHT TRIANGLE, AS IF THE LATTER MOVES, THE DISTANCE X GETS BIGGER.

THE DISTANCE Y GET SMALLER.

THE ANGLE THAT IS MARKED DOWN IN THE RIGHT-HAND SIDE GETS SMALLER THE ANGLE OF.

IS LARGER.

POOR ROMEO IS OUT OF LUCK TRYING TO SAVE JASMINE BECAUSE HE ENDS UP ON THE FLOOR.

AND SO IN CALCULUS, IF YOU KNOW THE RATE AT WHICH THE LATTER IS MOVING AWAY FROM THE WALL, YOU CAN FIND THE RATE AT WHICH IT IS FALLING DOWN THE WALL YOU CAN FIND THE RATE AT WHICH THE ANGLES ARE CHANGING, AND SO IT IS A RELATED RATE PROBLEM.

IF I CLICK ON THE LATTER AND THE BALCONY, YOU CAN SEE ALL OF THE MATHEMATICAL EQUATIONS THAT MAKE UP THE FOLLOWING LETTER.

IF YOU WATCH ROMEO'S PATH AS HE FALLS, YOU WILL NOTICE THAT AS HE FALLS HE TRAVELS IN THE ARC OF A CIRCLE.

SOMETIMES WHAT I WILL DO IS I WILL GIVE EXTRA CREDIT TO MY STUDENTS IF THEY CAN EXPLAIN WHY THE MIDPOINT WHICH DIVIDES THE LATTER INTO TWO 5-METER SECTIONS, ALSO IS ALWAYS 5 METERS AWAY FROM THE CORNER OF THE BUILDING.

THIS IS TRUE ON ANY LATTER THAT YOU STAND ON.

YOU COULD USE THIS FOR GEOMETRY CLASS OR ANY OTHER CLASS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE.

TO THINK THAT IS BAD ABOUT IT IS YOU CAN'T ORGANIZE YOUR WORK.

I CAN'T TAKE ALL OF THESE EQUATIONS AND HIDE THEM.

THEY ARE ALL OUT HERE FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE.

THIS IS FROM OUR CALC THREE CLASS.

IT IS TALKING ABOUT WHAT ARE CALLED PARTIAL DERIVATIVES.

IF I TAKE THIS -- IF I CLICK ON THIS.

HERE IS A PLANE THAT IS INTERSECTING THIS SURFACE.

IT INTERSECTS ALONG A CURVE AND THE CURVE LOOKS LIKE THAT.

IF I LOOK AT THE TANGENT LINE HERE, THIS LINE IF I LOOK AT IT RELATIVE TO THE X AXIS, AT THIS POINT IT IS GOING DOWNHILL.

BUT IF I MOVE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE OVER HERE, IT IS GOING UPHILL.

IN CALCULUS, IT IS CALLED THE PARTIAL DERIVATIVE WITH RESPECT TO X.

I DO THE SAME THING IF I TURN OFF THAT ONE.

I BELIEVE THE LINE THERE AND I WILL TURN THIS THING AROUND SO WE CAN SEE IT BETTER.

AS YOU CAN TELL, THIS ISN'T QUITE AS FRIENDLY AS DOES MOST.

BUT IT IS WHAT I HAVE TO WORK WITH.

IF I DRAW A PLANE PARALLEL TO THE Y AXIS, THEN THERE IS ALSO A CURVE THAT IS FORMED BY THAT ONE.

IF I MOVE -- I MOVE ALONG THAT CURVE AS WELL.

THERE IS A TANGENT LINE ATTACHED TO THAT CURVE AS WELL.

IF I HIDE THE PLANE, YOU CAN SEE THE TANGENT LINES MOVING AS THE CURVE MOVES BACK AND FORTH AS THE POINT MOVES ACROSS THE SURFACE.

ONE OF THE THINGS WHEN I WAS AN UNDERGRADUATE, WORKING WITH THIS, IS TRYING TO VISUALIZE THAT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE.

TO BE ABLE TO CREATE ANIMATIONS LIKE THAT.

I CREATED A TOTAL OF 111 ANIMATIONS FOR THE CALCULUS SEQUENCE AND ANY TEACHER CAN ACCESS ANY OF THEM THAT THEY WOULD LIKE.

AGAIN, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY.

I WANT TO GO AHEAD AND JUMP RIGHT IN.

WHEN I EMBARKED ON THE PROJECT, I REALLY WAS LOOKING TO BETTER UNDERSTAND ACCESSIBILITY, UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING, AND AS I BEGAN TO ENGAGE IN THAT STUDY, I REALLY BEGAN TO REALIZE HOW BROAD AND HOW BIG THAT AREA WAS.

IT INCLUDES COURSE DESIGN WHICH IS A UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR INSTRUCTION.

THERE IS SO MANY COMPONENTS.

AS I CONTINUE TO WORK ON MY PROJECT I REALLY WANTED TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE KIND OF DISABILITIES AND HOW IT IMPACTS INSTRUCTION.

I WAS LOOKING FOR STRATEGIES TO HELP SUPPORT STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES.

AND REALLY THE GOAL WAS TO REMOVE BARRIERS FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES AND WHAT I DISCOVERED AS WE KNOW WITH UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING, WHEN YOU ARE MAKING A CLASS THAT IS UNIVERSALLY DESIGNED, IT NOT ONLY BENEFITS STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES BUT IT BENEFITS ALL STUDENTS.

THAT WAS REALLY EXCITING TO ME BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO GO BACK INTO MY COURSES AND MAKE SOME CHANGES, SOME REDESIGNS, RETROFIT THE CONTENT.

THAT WAS FOR ME A VERY REWARDING EXPERIENCE.

THE MORE I LEARNED, THE MORE I REALIZED HOW MUCH WORK MY CLASS NEEDED IN MAKING IT ACCESSIBLE.

ONE -- WHEN WE TALK ABOUT ACCESSIBILITY, WE ARE NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT MAKING CONTENT THAT IS ACCESSIBLE TO THE SCREENREADER.

THAT IS DEFINITELY IMPORTANT, BUT WE ARE ALSO TALKING ABOUT WHEN WE TALK ABOUT -- IT'S VERY IMPORTANT.

BUT WILL BE TALK ABOUT UNIVERSAL DESIGN, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, IS THE LEARNING CONTENT ACCESSIBLE IN THE SENSE OF, CAN THE STUDENT COMPREHEND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS PRESENTED? THE EXAMPLES WE JUST SAW WITH MATH, THAT'S A GREAT EXAMPLE OF UNIVERSAL DESIGN APPROACH FOR LEARNING BECAUSE YOU ARE PRESENTING MATH IN A CONTENT THAT HELPS STUDENTS BETTER UNDERSTAND AND GRASP THE CONCEPTS OF MATH.

IT IS KIND OF LIKE LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES OR OPTIONS TO PRESENT THE CONTENT.

THIS WAS A REALLY AMAZING EXPERIENCE FOR ME BECAUSE I GOT TO UNDERSTAND THE BIGGER PICTURE OF HOW TO TEACH ONLINE.

WHEN WE TALK ABOUT DISTANCE EDUCATION, HOW TO PRESENT THE INFORMATION IN A WAY THAT IS ACCESSIBLE NOT ONLY WITH REMOVING BARRIERS WHEN IT COMES TO ACCESSING THEM INFORMATION, BUT ALSO HOW TO ACCESS IT WITH RESPECT TO COMPREHENDING THE CONTENT

THAT IS BEING PRESENTED.

IF A STUDENT DOES NOT COMPREHEND THE LESSON, THEN IT IS NOT ACCESSIBLE TO THEM.

I ACTUALLY WANT TO SPEND A LITTLE BIT MORE TIME TALKING ABOUT THE PROJECT THAT I WORKED ON.

I DO WANT TO SAY, AS I SAID AT THE BEGINNING, IT WAS A PERFECT TIMING WITH RESPECT TO THE RESEARCH THAT I WAS DOING WHEN THE PANDEMIC HIT.

I EVEN HAD COLLEAGUES FROM OTHER COLLEGES WHO WERE REACHING OUT TO ME BECAUSE THEY KNEW THAT I WAS ON SABBATICAL.

THAT WAS A REALLY GREAT EXPERIENCE TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THAT RESOURCE.

AT THE END OF THAT EXPERIENCE, I WAS ABLE TO COMPILE THESE RESOURCES INTO A DIGITAL LIBRARY, WHICH I WILL SHARE A LITTLE BIT LATER.

I ALSO WANT TO SHARE THAT IT WAS A REALLY GOOD EXPERIENCE TO HAVE THIS FOUNDATION BECAUSE WHEN I CAME BACK TO CAMPUS, WE FOUND OURSELVES WITH THE CHANCELLOR'S MANDATE WHICH WAS TO PROVIDE THE TRAINING, ACCESSIBILITY TRAINING FOR ALL FACULTY.

SO THEN I WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN DISTANCE EDUCATION COORDINATOR POSITION WITH A FOCUS OF ACCESSIBILITY.

THAT WAS A REALLY GREAT REWARD TO BE ABLE TO HELP SUPPORT THE COLLEGE IN THAT AREA.

WHEN I STEPPED BACK AND I LOOKED AT THE PROJECT AND EVERYTHING THAT WAS COVERED, THAT FOURTH OR FIFTH BULLET REALLY COVERS THE IDEA BEHIND IT.

I WAS ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND LEARN HOW TO CREATE ACCESSIBLE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS.

LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS THAT ARE ACCESSIBLE, INCLUSIVE, SUPPORTIVE, BARRIER FREE, AND A COMPONENT OF HUMANIZED LEARNING.

WHAT THAT MEANS IS THAT THE INSTRUCTOR IS PRESENT, THEY ARE AVAILABLE TO THE STUDENT.

IT IS NOT LIKE A ROBOT TEACHING THE CLASS, IT IS AN INSTRUCTOR THAT THE STUDENTS CAN CONNECT WITH, THE INSTRUCTOR WILL REACH OUT TO THEM.

I LEARNED SPECIFIC STRATEGIES THAT WOULD ALLOW ME TO REALLY HELP SUPPORT STUDENTS.

AND SO ALL OF THESE STRATEGIES AND PRACTICES THAT I LEARNED AND ABLE TO ME THEN TO COME BACK TO CAMPUS AND BEGIN TO PROVIDE SOME TRAININGS AND SOME WORKSHOPS.

I WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE A TRAINING DURING OUR TALK IN DAY WHEN WE HAD THE SUPERHERO THEME WHICH IS REALLY FUN.

AND THEN WE MOST RECENTLY I PROVIDED ADDITIONAL TRAINING AND THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF MARCH AND APRIL I'M GOING TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE MORE TRAINING.

I THINK THIS IS REALLY EXCITING, THE FACT THAT I WAS ABLE TO KIND OF GET THIS TRAINING AND THEN COME BACK TO CAMPUS AND BEGIN TO IMPLEMENT AND TO SUPPORT THE FACULTY.

I WANT TO SHOW YOU THE LIBRARY AND THE E-BOOK THAT I WAS ABLE TO PUT TOGETHER.

I DON'T WANT TO RUN OUT OF TIME.

IN FUTURE SEMESTERS WHEN WE ARE BACK ON CAMPUS AND STUDENTS ACTUALLY HAVE A CHOICE IF THEY WANT TO BE ON CAMPUS OR ONLINE, WE NEED TO PROVIDE THE BACKGROUND FOR THEM TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TAKING AN ONLINE COURSE IS SYNCHRONOUS OR ASYNCHRONOUS.

IS IT HYBRID? IF IT IS ON GROUND, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? WITH THE EXPECTATION? WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM THESE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CLASSES? I THINK THAT IS THE MAIN CHALLENGE IN EDUCATING OUR STUDENTS ON WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN THEY ARE TAKING A DISTANCE EDUCATION COURSE.

HAVING A PERMANENT, MORE INFRASTRUCTURE IS GOING TO PROVIDE THAT FOUNDATION THAT WE NEED AS A COLLEGE TO SUPPORT STUDENTS, TO SUPPORT FACULTY.

I REALLY BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LAUNCH OUR COLLEGE AND TO BE LEADERS IN THIS AREA.

WHEN I DID MY SABBATICAL RESEARCH AND BEFORE THE PANDEMIC HIT, NOT A LOT OF CAMPUSES, COLLEGES HAD VERY ROBUST PROGRAMS. THERE WERE A FEW OF THEM.

NOW EVERYONE WAS KIND OF FORCED TO DO THE MINIMUM TRAINING, BUT WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE LEADERS IN THIS AREA.

WE DEFINITELY NEED AN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THAT.

I'M NOT SURE IF MY TIME IS UP AT THE LAST THING I WANT TO SAY IS I REALIZE THE NEED TO HAVE THE STUDENT SERVICES, MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES MORE READILY AVAILABLE IN THE ONLINE CLASSES.

LIKE WITHIN THE CAMPUS SHALL LOWER THAN THE KANDIS MENU BAR, IF WE CAN HAVE A LINK OR TAB OR SOMETHING THAT IS ALWAYS THERE THAT STUDENTS CAN ACCESS.

I THINK THAT WOULD BE A GREAT SUPPORT FOR OUR STUDENTS.

IT IS KIND OF AN ADVANCED FORM OF ART HISTORY.

A LOT OF THE ART HISTORY PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE FOUR-YEAR UNIVERSITY, THE RESEARCH UNIVERSITIES, GRADUATE UNIVERSITIES IN CALIFORNIA ARE SWITCHING FROM ART HISTORY TO VISUAL AND CULTURAL STUDIES.

WE KNOW THAT IT'S EVENTUALLY GOING TO TRICKLE DOWN TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE LEVEL.

WE THOUGHT WE WOULD GET AHEAD OF THE CURVE AND JUMP IN.

WE HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR QUITE SOME TIME.

WE HAVE A NUMBER OF CLASSES THAT DEAL WITH REPRESENTATIONS OF RACE, ETHNICITY, GENDER AND SEXUALITY, SUCH AS OUR BLACK IMAGES AND POPULAR CULTURE AND MEN AND MASCULINITY.

WE ARE ADDING CLASSES THAT FOCUS ON NONTRADITIONAL VISUAL MEDIA THAT MAY INCLUDE TELEVISION, ANIME, MUNGO, COMIC BOOKS, VIDEO GAMES.

THE PLACES WERE REALLY OUR STUDENTS LIVE.

THEIR VISUAL LIVES.

AND ALSO AND THIS IS MY PARTICULAR FOCUS, ON THE VISUAL CULTURES OF SCIENCE.

FOR EXAMPLE, I'M SURE YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE FACT THAT WE JUST LANDED A NEW ROVER ON MARS.

THAT ROVER IS OUTFITTED WITH A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT CAMERAS.

THE CAMERAS HAVE DIFFERENT KINDS OF CAPABILITIES.

THE IMAGES THAT ARE BEING PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC OF MARS ARE ACTUALLY COMPOSITED IMAGES FROM ALL OF THESE DIFFERENT CAMERAS THAT ARE FEEDING DIFFERENT INFORMATION AND ASSEMBLING IT TO CREATE AN IMAGE THAT WE CAN SEE WITH OUR HUMAN EYES BUT THAT OFTEN CONTAINS MUCH MORE INFORMATION THAT IS REALLY ONLY MACHINE READABLE.

ALSO JUST THIS WEEK, A COMPANY ANNOUNCED A NEW PRODUCT CALLED DEEP NOSTALGIA THAT ALLOWS YOU TO UPLOAD AN OLD FAMILY PHOTO AND MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS WILL MAKE THAT PHOTOGRAPH COME TO LIFE.

THESE ARE OBVIOUSLY PRACTICES THAT ARE DIFFERENT THAN TRADITIONAL ART HISTORY BUT THEY ARE SO RELEVANT TO THE LIVES WE LEAD AND WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO THINK CRITICALLY ABOUT THOSE IMAGES AT THIS MOMENT.

A KEY FACTOR HERE IS I THINK THE IMPORTANCE OF INTERDISCIPLINARY THOUGHT.

THE SCHOLAR CP SNOW IN 1959 GAVE A REALLY IMPORTANT LECTURE AT OXFORD CALLED THE TWO CULTURES.

YESTERDAY WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO A WALK-THROUGH ON OUR CAMPUS TO IDENTIFY A COUPLE OF POTENTIAL LOCATIONS.

WE ARE BEGINNING TO DEVELOP A PLAN AND WHAT IS NEEDED TO FINALLY BRING A SITE NOT ONLY FOR THE COMMUNITY BUT FOR AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EMPLOYEES TO GET VACCINATED.

AS ALL OF US KNOW, MARCH 1 WAS THE FIRST OFFICIAL DAY IN THE STATE WHERE EDUCATORS WERE ABLE TO SECURE VACCINES.

I RECEIVED COUNTLESS E-MAILS.

I DON'T MANY -- I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY MULTIPLE STAFF MEMBERS, FACULTY, ADMINISTRATORS, ON CAMPUS STATED THAT THEY HAD ALREADY RECEIVED -- NOT RECEIVED BUT GOT AN APPOINTMENT AND WERE IN THE PROCESS AND A FEW THAT HAD ALREADY RECEIVED THE VACCINE.

AS OF NOW I HAVE RECEIVED CONFIRMATION THAT MANY HAVE RECEIVED TO THEIR VACCINES.

WE DEPLOYED A COVID-19 BASELINE SURVEY WITH THE SURVEY WE ARE LOOKING TO GATHER INFORMATION AS TO THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE BEEN VACCINATED AT THIS PARTICULAR POINT, THOSE WHO WISH TO BE VACCINATED, AND LATER ON WILL DEPLOY A SECOND SURVEY WITH SIMILAR QUESTIONS TO GAUGE HOW MANY INDIVIDUALS WORKING AT THE COLLEGE HAVE BEEN VACCINATED PRIOR TO THE FALL SEMESTER.

WE HAVE ALSO BEGAN GATHERING INFORMATION TO DETERMINE THE LEVEL OF COMFORT WITH COMING TO CAMPUS TO BE ABLE TO PLAN HOW WE ARE FACING THAT PARTICULAR RETURN AS WE MENTIONED IN THE PREVIOUS PRESENTATION.

OUR TARGET IS SPRING 2022.

OF THE $6000, $6 MILLION ALLOTMENT THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED, THROUGH THE END OF DECEMBER, WE HAVE SPENT WHICH GIVES US A REMAINING ALMOST $4.8 MILLION OF THAT.

PART OF THE RULES REGARDING THE CARES ACT WAS THAT WE HAD TO SPEND NO LESS THAN 50 PERCENT OF THE ALLOTMENT TO THE STUDENTS.

WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO STUDENTS WITH THE MASTER LEASE AGREEMENTS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING MONTHLY SUPPLEMENTS TO STUDENTS FOR RENT, AS WELL AS WE HAVE A PREVENTION PROGRAM WHERE WE HAVE GIVEN $100,000 TO HELP STUDENTS PREVENT THEM FROM LOSING THEIR HOMES AND BECOMING HOMELESS.

WE CONTINUE TO SEE OUR REFERRALS INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY IN THAT AREA.

THE OTHER THING THAT PAMELA AND HER TEAM CONTINUE TO DO IN AN AMAZING WAY IS THERE NOW PROVIDING WEEKLY SERVICE LINK SUPPORT.

WHAT I MEAN WITH THAT IS WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE DATA TO DETERMINE WHAT IS THE BEST AMOUNT OF MONEY BASED ON OUR RESOURCES THAT WE CAN PROVIDE THE STUDENT IN A VERY SPECIFIC SITUATION THAT WILL PRODUCE THE BEST RESULTS.

IN OTHER WORDS, WE ARE TRYING TO ALIGN THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES WITH THE STUDENTS ABILITY TO COMPLETE THEIR ACADEMIC PROGRAM.

WHAT IS GOING TO PUT THEM IN A GOOD POSITION TO GET THEM THROUGH THEIR CLASSES? WE HAVE LOOKED AT DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF THIS.

WE ALLOCATED DOLLARS INITIALLY JUST BASED ON THE FINANCIAL ELIGIBILITY.

AND THEN WE DID IT LOOKING AT HOW MANY CLASSES THEY WERE TAKING AND WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE OUTCOMES OF EACH ONE OF THOSE AND WE ARE GETTING READY TO REEVALUATE AND POTENTIALLY INCREASE THE FINANCIAL INVESTMENT.

WE ARE STARTING TO SEE THAT IT SEEMS TO BE A SWEET SPOT IN WHICH THE STUDENT RECEIVES A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF MONEY AND HE OR SHE IS ABLE TO DEDICATE MORE TIME TO THEIR STUDIES AND OBVIOUSLY DO BETTER.

AGAIN, WE ARE CONTINUING TO EVALUATE THAT.

AS I SAID, IN THE BEGINNING OF THE PRESENTATION, WE HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH A NUMBER OF HEALTH PROVIDERS TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO BECOME A VACCINATION CENTER.

I THINK YESTERDAY'S MEETING WAS VERY POSITIVE AND IT SEEMS THAT THAT IS GOING TO BE -- GET US TO THE FINISH LINE.

AS I KNOW MORE, I DON'T WANT TO PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION THAN WHAT WE HAVE AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME, SO AS WE GET MORE INFORMATION I WILL PROVIDE AN UPDATE.

THE GUIDELINES THAT WE HAVE PUT IN PLACE AT THE CERRITOS COLLEGE IN SOME PLACES -- IN SOME WAYS MAY SEEM A LITTLE BIT STRICT.

EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE ON CAMPUS AROUND 1100 STUDENTS, WE HAVE HAD EXPOSED AND POSITIVE CASES ONLY 146 STUDENTS.

THIS IS BOTH POSITIVE AND EXPOSED, THAT WE HAVE DONE CONTACT TRACING.

THE ACTUAL POSITIVITY RATE ON THE STUDENTS IS LOWER THAN THE 146 THAT I MENTIONED.

FOR EMPLOYEES, WE HAVE HAD ONLY 18 POSITIVE CASES, AND THIS IS COUNTING SOME OF OUR CONTRACTORS AND ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL THAT WORKED ON CAMPUS BUT NOT ACTUALLY EMPLOYED BY CERRITOS COLLEGE.

OUT OF THAT, WE HAVE HAD EXPOSED ANOTHER 20 WHO HAVE QUARANTINED OUT OF PRECAUTION BUT HAVE NOT TESTED POSITIVE.

AS WE EXPECTED IN EARLY JANUARY, WE WERE EXPECTING SOME CASES.

IN THIS YEAR SINCE WE RETURNED WE HAVE HAD FIVE CASES ON EMPLOYEES, FOR STAFF -- FOUR ON STAFF AND ONE ON FACULTY.

WE HAVE UTILIZED A COMPANY NAMED ERP A WHO HAVE HELPED US REALLY BEGIN TO IDENTIFY HOW WE CAN STRENGTHEN THE USE OF PEOPLESOFT TO BETTER SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES AND OUR STUDENTS.

THIS ASSESSMENT THAT THEY CONDUCTED OCCURRED PROBABLY IN 2019, 2020 ACTUALLY.

AS THEY CONDUCTED A REVIEW OF PEOPLESOFT, THEY IDENTIFIED A GAP THAT OFTEN HAPPENS ON CAMPUSES BETWEEN THE IT TEAM AND THE FUNCTIONAL USER TEAM.

A DEPARTMENT SUCH AS ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS, COUNSELING, THAT ARE UTILIZING PEOPLESOFT AND THIRD PARTY SYSTEMS, AND HOW THE BUSINESS PRACTICE OF ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS, THAT'S THE EASIEST ONE TO USE.

SO ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS HAS A LOT OF STUDENT PROCESSES.

APPLICATION PROCESS, REGISTRATION PROCESS, FINANCIALS, ROSTERS, GRADES.

MANY OF THOSE PROCESSES HAVE FUNCTIONAL ELEMENTS INSIDE OF PEOPLESOFT.

SO MANY CAMPUSES ACTUALLY HAVE A PERSON THAT IS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT, SO ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS, THAT IS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE BUSINESS PRACTICE THAT IS WHAT WE CALL A BOUNDARY SPANNER THAT WORKS WITH IT TO TRANSLATE THE BUSINESS PRACTICE INTO THE SOFTWARE.

SO ON OUR CAMPUS, WE HAVE NOT PARTICULARLY HAD THIS LEVEL OF A POSITION.

WE DO HAVE ONE MCARDLE WHO IS IN FINANCIAL AID WHO HAS DONE A FINANCIAL -- PHENOMENAL JOB IN THE FINANCIAL REALM OF HELPING TO BE THAT TRANSLATOR AND THAT BOUNDARY SPANNER.

THIS IS AN EXPANSION ON THAT POSITION THAT REALLY WOULD LOOK AT ALL OF THE A AND ARE FUNCTIONS AND THE PEOPLESOFT ELEMENTS AND TRANSLATE ONE HELPING THE FUNCTIONAL AREA TO DOCUMENT ALL OF THE BUSINESS PRACTICES FIRST.

AND SO WE USE THE TERM, AND SOME PEOPLE MAY NOT LIKE IT, BUT WE DON'T WANT TO PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG.

WE WANT TO HAVE A CLEAN BUSINESS PRACTICE AND TRANSLATE THAT INTO THE SOFTWARE SO THAT IT FUNCTIONS WELL TOGETHER.

THESE POSITIONS WILL HELP DOCUMENT THE BUSINESS PRACTICE, HELP TRANSLATE INTO THE SOFTWARE, AND THEN WRITE THE BUSINESS AND RESOURCE GUIDES AND THE TRAINING TO HELP THE TEAMS LEARN HOW TO UTILIZE THAT SYSTEM.

RIGHT NOW WE ARE PROPOSING AS WE START AND CONTINUE TO DO THIS MASSIVE OPTIMIZATION PROJECT IN PEOPLESOFT, THAT WE WILL HAVE ONE POSITION THAT WILL FOCUS ON PEOPLESOFT SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, PART OF THE AUDIT REQUIREMENTS ARE IS THAT MEASURE G IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A PERFORMANCE AUDIT WHERE WE LOOK AT A SAMPLE OF EXPENDITURES AND MAKE SURE THAT THOSE ARE BEING SPENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BALANCE OF THE TEXT.

AS YOU CAN SEE THERE ON THE BOTTOM OF PAGE 21, OUR SAMPLE INCLUDED $24,382,000 IN TRANSACTIONS THAT WE SELECTED TO LOOK AT.

THAT REPRESENTED ABOUT 48 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL EXPENDITURES OF A LITTLE BIT OVER $51 MILLION.

I'M HAPPY TO REPORT THAT WE DID NOT HAVE ANY EXCEPTIONS OF NONCOMPLIANCE NOTED WITH THE MEASURE G FUNDS.

IF ANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN A PART OF THIS PROCESS IN THE PAST IS WONDERING, WHY ARE WE BRINGING THIS AUDIT REPORT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JUNE 30, 2020, TO THE BOARD IN MARCH? THE REASON IS, RELATED TO COVID.

WHEN COVID FIRST HIT BACK IN MARCH, AS WAS TALKED ABOUT AT SOME OF THE PRIOR PRESENTATIONS, THERE WAS SOME MONEY GIVEN OUT TO THE COLLEGES AND OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES.

PROBABLY BACK IN THAT APRIL TIME PERIOD.

BUT WHAT HAPPENED WAS IS THE MONEY WAS GIVEN OUT AND THERE WAS REALLY NO SPECIFIC GUIDELINES ON HOW TO SPEND THAT MONEY.

MORE IMPORTANTLY THERE WAS NO GUIDELINES FOR US AS AUDITORS ON HOW TO AUDIT THAT MONEY.

AND SO WE WERE WAITING FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR THE LONGEST TIME TO RECEIVE GUIDELINES ON WHAT THEY WANT US TO ACTUALLY LOOK AT OR SOME OF THOSE REQUIREMENTS THEY WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT THE COMMUNITY COLLEGES ESPECIALLY SINCE THAT'S WHAT WE WERE AUDITING WERE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH.

WE GOT WORD PROBABLY LIKE IN AUGUST AND THEY SAID, THIS GUIDANCE IS IS GOING TO COME OUT IN SEPTEMBER AND IT WAS OCTOBER AND WE SAID WILL HAVE IT BEFORE THANKSGIVING AND THEN THANKSGIVING CAME AND NOTHING.

WE FINALLY GOT THE FEDERAL GUIDANCE FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON DECEMBER 23, THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS EVE, ON WHAT THEY WANTED US TO AUDIT FOR COVID FUNDING.

SO OBVIOUSLY IT WAS KIND OF A LITTLE LATE IN THE BALLGAME.

THE CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE REALIZED THAT THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE TO EXTEND THEIR DEADLINE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WAY WE WERE GOING TO BE ABLE TO COMPLY WITH THE CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE DEADLINE BY DECEMBER 31 SO THE CHANCELLORS MOVED THEIR DEADLINE TO THE END OF FEBRUARY.

THIS WAS TO ALLOW US THE OPPORTUNITY TO LOOK AT THOSE FUNDS AND TO MAKE SURE THAT THE DISTRICT WAS EXPENDING THEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE POLICIES OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

WE DID ACTUALLY NOT START LOOKING AT THOSE COVID DOLLARS UNTIL JANUARY AND HAD A WEEKLY GO THROUGH THAT WHOLE PROCESS TO WRAP ALL OF THAT UP TO ME THE

CHANCELLORS DEADLINE BY THE END OF FEBRUARY.

I'M HAPPY TO SAY WE WERE ABLE TO MEET THE CHANCELLORS OFFICE DEADLINE AND COMPLETE THE AUDIT IN A TIMELY MANNER IN ACCORDANCE TO THE CHANCELLORS GUIDELINES.

I WANTED TO GIVE PEOPLE A BIT OF BACKGROUND ON WHY WE ARE TAKING SO LONG TO GET THIS AUDIT COMPLETED.

BUT AS YOU CAN SEE HERE, WE HAD NO MATERIAL WEAKNESSES, NO SIGNIFICANT DEFICIENCY NOTED, AND NO NONCOMPLIANCE.

WE AUDITED APPROXIMATELY 46 MILLION, WHICH IS ABOUT 96 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL DOLLARS WE AUDITED.

WE AUDITED BASICALLY TWO PROGRAMS THAT HAD THE MAJORITY OF THOSE DOLLARS.

YOU SEE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE, STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE CLUSTER.

THAT IS BASICALLY YOUR PELL GRANTS, YOUR STUDENT AID GIVEN TO STUDENTS, FEDERAL WORK STUDY.

THAT CONSISTED OF APPROXIMATELY $43 MILLION.

I'M HAPPY TO REPORT THAT WE HAD NO ISSUES OVER STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, THERE WAS NO AREAS OF NONCOMPLIANCE, AND THE SECOND BIG PORTION WAS THE COVID MONIES THAT WERE RECEIVED THAT WAS TALKED ABOUT EARLIER.

THAT WAS A LITTLE OVER ABOUT $3.2 MILLION AS OF JUNE 30.

I'M HAPPY TO REPORT THAT THERE WAS NO AREAS OF NONCOMPLIANCE OVER THE COVID MONEY RECEIVED.

WE DID HAVE SOME DISTRICTS THAT I DID AUDIT THIS YEAR THAT THERE ARE SOME REPORTING REQUIREMENTS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE MISSED ON THAT DEADLINE, BUT I'M HAPPY TO REPORT THAT CERRITOS WAS ABLE TO MEET THOSE REPORTING DEADLINES AND LIKE I SAID, A LOT OF THOSE INFORMATION, IT WAS GIVEN OUT BUT THEY REALLY DIDN'T GIVE ANY GUIDANCE AND SO PEOPLE HAD TO GO THROUGH IT AND INTERPRET IT HOW THEY THOUGHT.

ONE OF THE AREAS OVER THAT WAS THE GUIDANCE WAS AS SOON AS YOU HAD ACCESS TO THOSE FUNDS, THAT'S WHEN THAT 30 DAY REQUIREMENT WAS REQUIRED.

AND SOME OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND COMMUNITY COLLEGES OUT THERE TOOK THAT LIBERTY TO SAY, WE DIDN'T ACTUALLY DRAW DOWN THAT MONEY UNTIL 40 DAYS LATER OR 60 DAYS LATER, SO THEY THOUGHT THAT'S WHEN THE CLOCK STARTED.

IT'S JUST NUANCES LIKE THAT WHERE THINGS WEREN'T QUITE AS CLEAR.

A LOT OF PEOPLE HAD, WE ENDED UP HAVING TO WRITE FINDINGS WITH SOME OTHER DISTRICTS AND CLIENTS.

I'M HAPPY TO REPORT WE WERE ABLE TO ISSUE AN UNMODIFIED REPORT AND OPINION OVER THE FEDERAL AWARDS RECEIVED.

WE HAD NO INTERNAL CONTROL WEAKNESSES OR MATERIAL WEAKNESSES.

EVERY YEAR IS A NEW YEAR BUT CONGRATULATIONS ON AN OUTSTANDING YEAR WORK AND KEEPING THE HOUSE IN ORDER IN A YEAR WHERE IT WAS NATURAL IT COULD HAVE GONE INTO DISORDER BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY NEW FACTORS AT PLAY.

EVERYBODY JUST DID A FANTASTIC JOB.

IN TERMS OF REALLY BEING ON THE BALL, ON TOP OF THINGS AND TO THE BENEFIT OF NOT ONLY OUR STUDENTS DIRECTLY WITH PAYMENTS THAT WENT OUT, WITH COVID THROUGH PELL GRANT THROUGH EVERYTHING.

ALSO IN TERMS OF OUR STAKEHOLDERS AND TAXPAYERS THAT ARE TRYING TO MAKE SURE THAT WE REMAIN STATE-FUNDED THROUGH OUR VARIOUS BOND PROGRAMS AND TO BACKUP THE STUDENTS.

THEY REALLY REINFORCED BY BEING ABLE TO SEE THESE BOND RATINGS THAT WE HAVE ENJOYED SO FAR AND HOPEFULLY CONTINUE TO ENJOY.

WITH OUR PLAN GOING FORWARD.

THE LESS EXPENSIVE THE BONDS, THE MORE MONEY CAN ACTUALLY GO TOWARDS THE INTENDED OUTCOME.

WE INSERTED A SENTENCE, A LEADING SENTENCE IN AN INTENTIONAL EFFORT TO PROMOTE STUDENT EQUITY AND PROVIDE INCREASED ACCESS FOR STUDENTS TO RECEIVE COURSE CREDIT IN PURSUIT OF THEIR EDUCATIONAL GOALS, CERRITOS COLLEGE OFFERS CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING.

AND THEN WANTED TO EMPHASIZE THE FACT THAT THERE ARE A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT WAYS THAT STUDENTS MAY DO THAT.

YOU MAY NOTICE THAT THERE IS ANOTHER LITTLE PIECE THAT WAS DROPPED IN HERE.

AS WE WERE PREPARING THE FORM, THE CERTIFICATION FORM FOR THE CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING DOCUMENTS, WE REALIZED THAT WE NEEDED TO ACTUALLY DROP IN SOME TITLE V LANGUAGE.

IT COMES DIRECTLY FROM THE REGULATIONS AND IT JUST NEEDED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOARD POLICY ITSELF.

ESSENTIALLY STATES THAT WE DO REVIEW THE CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING POLICY EVERY

THIS AGGREGATED DATA BY GENDER AND RACE THAT RELATE TO THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS WHO RECEIVED CREDIT, NUMBER OF CREDITS THAT WERE AWARDED, RETENTION AND PERSISTENCE RATES, DATA COMPLETION AS WELL AS PAULA TATE OF ASSESSMENT I STUDENTS OF THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
